oh, this car is considered as a sports car right?
no
my mom has a type s. its a nic car for daily driving, and handles decently for fwd. the seats do hurt my back when i have to drive long distances though. also the leather is cracking on the drivers seat, she has an 02. other than that its a great a-b car

Its a fwd drive with rear seats so i wouldnt even try to call it a sports car, more like sporty.

its still marketed as a sports car.
your insurance company will charge you likewise.
no they dont, and if your insurance company does give you the same rate as a sports car you need to change companies...the rsx is NOT a sports car nor is it markted as one. they market it as a sporty car, at least for all of the ads i've seen

To an insurance company... even a Integra GS-R, Civic Si, Chevy Camaro Z28/SS will categorize these cars as sports cars. So it all depends on who you ask.
To me Integra GS-R/Type-R, Civic Si, Camaro Z28/SS, Mustang GT, Acura CL Type-S, VW GTi, Lancer Evo, WRX, STI are all sports cars regardless of FF, FR, AWD. A regular Integra, RSX, Civic, Mustang, Lancer, etc I would only call "sporty". Cars that manufacturers build and emphasize decent power (or power/weight ratio) and handling even if they have 4 doors and 4 seats are sports cars to me. Face it... the term is evolving along with the cars. When I want to categorize cars like NSXs, RX7s, Murcielagos (sp?), etc. I make sure I mention "pure" sports car.
Damn I apologize I wrote so much. I also probably opened myself up for some opposition hahaha.

yup
btw go get a wrx instead
bleh subaru...the rsx is much much nicer than the impreza. im guessing this person isnt buying the car for performance (not like wrx excels in that catagory either).

when i was buyin a car, it basically came down to either rsx or wrx
my friend has a wrx, and i hated the interior =| not sayin the rsx interior is the best, but its a lot better than the wrx
in the end i chose rsx because its a tad bit more "luxurious" than the wrx, also with rising gas prices, its more convenient because its a lot more fuel efficient..
it comes down to the fact that you get a decent amount of "bang for your buck" with the rsx
