Spoiler? :: I just got the third armor, and it's really not worth it.::

Oh, yeah, I figured it out. I need to get it anyway, though; sentimental value. ph34r.gif

i had a play of the Wii today at the mall, umm can u adjust the sensitivity of the wiimote? i found it way too sensitive when playing games like Wii sports, and my friend was also having trouble aiming with the crossbow in zelda. i reckon it should've been like a light gun and not show the freaking crosshair.

Eh, I felt the same way as you at first, as did other people. But I've gotten much more used to it now, and I wouldn't change the sensitivity if I could anymore. I don't know if you can, though; I haven't bothered looking. Sorry.

Hah hah, it's true, it's true. XD But it's definitely not an every time thing. I was sore the first few days. Hurt to do anything (I need to go to the gym more often tongue.gif ). But after you 'heal' the first time, it's not gonna happen again, if you play even remotely frequently.
Oh, and it's really only WiiSports that'll do that to you, I'm thinking. Zelda deffinitely not, and even something like MonkeyBall not nearly as much.

^Rofl, yeah, you're right. sweatingbullets.gif But dayum, I worked for it (though when I say 'worked', I mean sitting around for 24 hours in a grocery store that never closes listening to Christmas music against my will, doing chemistry homework and being bored. It was rather torturous.)
Oh, by the way, your avatar is crazygonuts. And I love it. biggrin.gif

@King I wholeheartedly agree. ^^

[i'm a little late but..] I'm one of the lucky ones who got a Wii !!

Here's my story:
I work at Target. I worked from 1:30PM-Close on satuday 11/18.. the day before Wii was launched. Close meaning whatever time we get out until the whole store is cleaned. The store closed at 10PM but we didn't get out until 11:50PM. I was working all day so I could see how many people were standing in line for the Wii. The first set of (4) people came around 7PM. I was like "They're so crazy waiting in line for a game system" At first I wasn't planning on buying the Wii, but then I saw two of my friends standing in line when we got out of the store at 11:50PM. It was an impulse buy. So, I decided to go home and take a shower, then come back. Thankfully I was number 31 in line for the Wii [we had 40 in launch shipment]. I got back to target around 12:15AM sunday 11/19.

They passed out tickets at 7AM. Went somewhere to eat, went back to target around 8AM opening. Got my Wii, zelda, and trauma centre. I got 20% discount [10% team member discount + 10% target visa discount] then went to church, then home. The thing is, I had work again from 11AM-6PM. So after leaving target at around 930AM sunday morning, i come back at 11AM for another 8 hour shift.

So basically it was a Target-filled weekend. Being there from 1:30PM Saturday to 6PM sunday... basically. I had no sleep at all waiting all nightish/morning for the wii. I was so exhausted/fatigued during work, but wasn't grumpy to any of the guests.. because I got my wii =] Sucks that I had to wait until after work to actually play it though. I never really got into Zelda yet, and I'm still chapter one on Trauma Center. I did order Super Mario 64 on it though, pretty fun stuff. I'm praying for Goldeneye 64 !! ..and Super Mario RPG for SNES + Paper Mario for N64. I can't wait for the Wario game and cooking mama cook off and super mario galaxy and pokemon and super smash! so many coming out in 07 !! im gonna be broke -___-

I never really got to play Wii sports yet, I heard playing that busts a cap on televisions. I only played the baseball and bowling one. Never played the others. But the other day my parents were playing Boxing and the bowling one. It was pretty weird/funny at the same time.

--whoa that was long, i bet no one read it.

---------

and i got a question:
i've registered my friends on the wii by adding their number thing.
but my messages never get to them, but i recieve them.
is anyone else having problems like that??
..and if u want to register me, just PM me and i'll send my wii number thing ^__^

Does anyone know if the Japanese version of Wii games can be played on the U.S. version of Wii console? I read in this thread that the consoles are region free even though they sell the 2 versions seperately as 2 different things?

Nevermind. I found the answer. Region lock does no allow such a thing.

We waited outside the morning of the 19th and were 4th in line, and the store only had 6, so we got SO lucky. I love the wii!

This is true. sweatingbullets.gif They limited our wait to 24 hours also, so I didn't wait as long as I could have (and would have). So at midnight there were like 30 different people or groups of people loitering waiting for them to announce where the line would be. It was really intense. My sister, my brother and I all patrolled different parts of the store to expand our ground (we were only getting one system between us). My brother just happened to be standing right next to where they announced the line would start (photography section!), snagged us the first spot in line. Hah hah, so I owe a lot to him. laugh.gif
That was actually the secod time they had announced the line starting point. First time was at checkout lane three, and no one knew we weren't allowed to run like hell. Manager made us redo it. phew.gif

Wii sports is one of the most addictive games I've ever played. Many touted it as just a 'cheap' pack-in with the system but I swear I've been playing it more than I have Zelda. Hitting HRs in the baseball training mode is so damn satisfying!

It was soooooo worth the 3 hour wait outside Toy'r'us on Black Friday...

We bought ours online on launch day because we didn't want to wait in line, and there were some long lines. It's going to be a Christmas present so we weren't in a hurry to get it. What's annoying is how long it took us to find component cables and extra controllers. Geeze. We just bought them yesterday.

Anyway, we're going to trade in our Red Steel for another game. Does anyone have a suggestion that isn't Zelda and Wii Sports?
