I have the opportunity to pick up a very clean Fd as a trade for my FC.
Honestly Im not too sure if it is worth trading.
Clear title.
93 touring
Brilliant Black
No Engine
99 spec front end
Re-A flush headlights
Knights Sport carbon drop vent hood.
COMPLETE tan leather interior
NEW Yokohama tires on the stock rims
R1 Bilstein suspension and ss brake lines.
Racing beat exhaust
autometer dual pod w/ boost and afr gauges
Alpine head unit w/ the stock Bose wave acoustic system in PERFECT working order
rear diff bushings
owner is willing to drive from texas to drop off and pick up.
Some of you may know what i have into my FC..
basically a 500+ hp setup
everything done right.
dont really want to get into it again.
The only reason im considering this is because the FD may be easier to sell than the FC.
pics of both will be up soon

you are trading a running car with 500+ rwhp for a rolling shell? (project for a turbo ls1?
)
that FD is pretty clean.. how much does a FD shell usually run for?

also the g can already run mid 13s stock and the hks intakes adds an estimated 10 extra hp and the exhausts add like 8 so yeah it should shove off about 1.5 to 2 sec off my times

I thought you had to sell the FC because of financial reasons? If money's tight, I'd get a car cheaper to maintain.

im not selling for financial reasons. im back in school now to be an optometrist so it was too much of a distraction. i was going to get this fd because it might be easier to sell than the fc.

hey man..it's like we discussed on AIM.
if i were you...i wouldn't do it.
it might be easier to sell than your FC; but regardless, you're gonna take a hit on whichever route you choose to take.
worse case scenario:
-part your FC; you know how those vultures on the club are...they'll be buying your parts in no time at all
-buy the FD, fix it; then sell it as a rebuild/swap car...it'll probably make it easier to sell and command a price higher than the rolling chassis FD.
the fact that it comes from TX is an added bonus..because you're in MD.

ive decided not to get the fd.
1. it would be much more of a distraction
2. i dont think it would be worth it to trade the fc for it imo..
3. dont have the time for it
4. parents would kill me.
