no one asks for help on homework and projects here?
should i not be?
oh well. i'm giving it a shot
so
by next week, i have to construct a visual project (but not really a poster type) in asian studies class..
and it has to be about a topic covered in class...
topics such as discrimination against asians, struggles, blabla and such.
i've RACKED my brain for ideas and i cant really come up with anything that would be considered 4.0 material..
does anyone have any ideas?
thought i'd give it a shot.

thanks for the ideas
i thought about those ideas..
but they did something concrete..
like.. a project they can hold onto..
so a play wouldnt exactly work..
a video might..
but i dont know if i have enough time to fine tune it and make it 4.0 material
i'm video illiterate

hm not sure what you covered in class but how about building a model of something or making a map
for example, im touching on discrimination against japanese canadians during wwii in class.. so maybe make a map of where japanese canadians were sent to? or where important events happened?

today for our belated black history month assembly, we watched a video documentary thing on the life of a black student who goes to our school... she basically talked abt what she went thru being in a dominantly white high school in an affluent community.. how she felt, what a day was like for her there/how it affected her and stuff like that. maybe you could do the same for an asian person being the minority somewhere.. bc i know in the documentary, they talked abt black ppl and white ppl and i was sitting there thinking, where do asian ppl fit in? haha idk, js a thought. and im sure you can get help frm someone who knows a lot abt video editing and stuff if you plan on doing a video.

plenty of asian american issues i mean, the "coolies" railroad workers who most people dont know, when the work was completed they just booted them out of the land and the press took pictures with white workers to make it look like they did everything.
You could do something about japanese internment camps, basiscally american citizens getting rounded up and thrown into concentration camps in the middle of oblivion.
asian representations in film could be another good one,
ahhhhh so manyyyyy

My idea isnt as goos as the other ones, but you could interview the First Generation Emigrants and their First Generation Asian American children about the process they had to go through and the discrimination they faced and the stories they have to tell and such and such. You can always ask for pictures and stuff.
