how to download from YOUTUBE.COM! it's soooo simple!

***firstly i'd like to apologise to the mods for double post. i posted this in the general discussion forum, however i feel it should be in here. please delete the topic in the other forum if need be. just that i know a lot of ppl been waiting for this and i hope it helps them out***

for all you people who want to get vids from youtube.com, you can download youtube files from here, its very simple and u get the download link immediately.

http://keepvid.com/

just click on the youtube tab and follow the instructions, you will have to rename the .php file to .flv and get vlan player from http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ to play the .flv file.

Here are some videos you can start with:
Boa videos
DBSK videos
Hyori Lee videos

hope this helps people.

P.S. this site also allows u to download from google, ifilm, putfile and around 40 others.

It's not working for me. I have Mozilla and it downloads as Get_video and as a PHP file and i change extension to .flv but it doesn't work :[

edit: NEVERMIND. i'm dumb.

hi

i read the faq on keepvid.com and it says:

To change to .flv, find your downloaded file and change the file extension from .php to .flv

If there is no extension, then simply add .flv to the filename.

You may need to enable file extensions if you cannot see the .php:
- In any folder on your hard drive go to "Tools" > "Folder Options" > "View" tab then scroll down to "Hide extensions for known file types" and uncheck that box.
Click "OK" to save changes. Now you should see the file extension which you can rename.
