ya all i can think of is xcute... but they have lots of other companies that aren't homegrown like sony ericsson, nokia, etc. there's ASUA, Xplore and Gigabyte but they all look pretty shady [i found it out after looking it up]

there's HTC from taiwan which gets rebranded like crazy.. BenQSiemens and Mio have pretty good phones.
there's also lots of other chinese phones like bird/tcl/haier/hisense/konka/lenovo/amoi etc .. actually our chinese phones aren't that bad. the design and functionality has really improved over the years.

i just want something really different, something u can't get in australia. the current phones don't suit my tastes, and some i saw while i was in china were quite cool.

just looked at some of the mobiles, a few look a likes, but some of them look cool.

any1 have any of the above phones from those companies? my mum might be going to HK and see if she can get one, if theres anything good.
EDIT: some of the okwap mobiles look quite cool, not sure if they are gsm and have english support though...

i have a okwap phone....please no matter what don't get one of their phones...
itheyre so horrible....i even went back to taiwan to get mine fixed twice...
and as of right now my screen is unreadable...i say yu buy benq or some other brands
