I plan on doing another project but keeping my previous car.

I was told that the 240SX **** and the only way to get more power is to turbo the KA motor or get SR20DET.

or

Should I get the miata? it's light, slow but it'll rape any other cars in autoX. will be even faster when i throw in a MazdaSpeed motor. hehehe

Azn Akira, i was told that Keiichi drove your Miata...should I get 240SX or Miata?

You should know better than to use those words.

yea from what i hear the truck motor sucks. if you are short on money, then yea get the miata. if you had the money id take a 240 with a sr20det over a miata anyday.

but then again if u get a s13 shell with no motor, then use the rest of the money on your motor. The setup would probably put you in the same price range as a miata.

yeah yeah

the city i live in has emission so i can't throw in a SR20DET. the miata is fun to drive but then it's only a 2 seater.

im not sure if this is true about the miata as well, but insurance for a 240sx is cheap.

I wouldn't turbo a KA cuz of the many stories of blowing up cuz of the high compression

which RB?

Rb20, 25, 26?

Note: unless ur a real baller i suggest sticking with the sr or the rb20 (RB20's cheaper but more difficult to install)

both are pretty fun cars to drive. but i would get the miata.
extremely fun to drive, handles like a go kart, and mazda for the win! smile.gif

ive driven both and ive even owned a 92 240sx (completely stock)

the 240 was an awesome daily driver for me. not too big, not too small (like the miata-hence the only reason i didnt get one), and plus there is huge aftermarket support for it.

ive had alot of friends with sr's in their 240's and its a great way to make power. plus its nice to be able to put a motor in a car that actually belongs in it.

in the s13, the rear seats are useless..unless you use them for storage. trust me, no one wants to be cramped up in the backseats of an s13.

it's actually the engine components that fail..and not due to high compression. the ka actually comes with 8.5:1 from stock, which makes it a good candidate for FI setup.
if i seriously had to stick with a KA, you can count on me NOT putting a turbo on it. something else interests me with that engine more...

i drove a 240sx with sr20 in it, i think its a lil overrated, but then again i havnt drove a KA24deT yet so i cant really compare...

having owned both id definetly say go for a miata, especially if you are not going sr. the miata is a lot more fun to drive than an s13. if you get the flying miata stage one turbo kit youll make about 190whp and its CA smog legal. that would be a fun little car.

i've also driven many sr 240's (from stock to 447whp) and they are overrated. although it does make the 240 a lot more fun to drive, it definetly needs the extra power.

If you can't drive a Miata worth crap than you definitely can't drive anything worth crap, midengine or not.
