well i've never been good at rts, only fps and i always get owned at war3. i just don't see wat i'm doing wrong though, i do train heroes and such and make 2nd bases but wat am i doing wrong? gimme some tips u pro war3 FT ppl. thanks (btw i've only won 3 games out of 17 or so....)

Learn the matchups involved between units. If someones using dryads, pump out some piercing units to counter, etc.

Know when to attack, when to run and creep. Timing plays a big part in things; also learn to micromanage your units + funds. I haven't played a ladder game in a year, but certain unit mixes still dominate the game. iirc, back in the day it was mixed casters / rifle / knights for Hu, hunts / drys/ bears + air for Ne.

Watching replays could help.

i usually go undead, the whole summoning makes it easy to build really quickly, but not exactly fond of the units, too weak.

Night Elf is a good race. Same with Ogres

when playing undead, use mass to your advantage... and as mentioned above.. watching replays are a good learning place

mass?.... anyway do rushes work like in starcraft? eg. screw heroes, build 2 barracks with humans and do footman rush?
