I`ve been trying for the past hour to connect my phone and computer. I put the CD they gave me in and installed all of it the pc program and the usb. It says theres a hardware but when i go to open it it says nothings there and please insert drive F. I opend up the program and connected USB but now what?! and it wont let me click to phone when im trying to get songs.

I dont kno why it isnt working and im gettin really frustrated..

It gave me some trouble too... but here are some pointers on how I got it to work.

dori dori, I suggest you run the CD and uninstall the USB driver AND the software. Restart your computer and start fresh.



So here's how I did it:
1. Don't connect your phone to the computer before installing software. Make sure the phone is on "Modem" mode in the phone settings > usb settings.

2. Put in the cd. First install the USB driver. Then install the software right after.

3. Plug your phone into your usb port in your computer. If it doe not say "Found new hardware" etc, then try plugging it into another port.

4. It will automatically run the "Found new hardware" wizard. Select "automatically install drivers for this time only". You will do this twice, one for the usb driver, and one for the modem plug-in.

5. Restart your computer.

6. Open up Samsung PC Studio 3. It should now be connected. If it isn't, there's something wrong with your computer.

GRRR!!!! X_______X I edited all my favorite songs so it'll be nice ringtones, but it won't let me use it as ringtones.. what's up with that? please help!!

you will have to install the drivers/hardware/software as the 2nd person stated.
I mean, atleast yours does work with a software program.

my samsung a940 has 70Megs of internal waiting to be used, but nope, wont work any programs.

i have trouble with my phone too

i cant run the PC studio...actually i can run it but it wont connect with my phone

so instead my brother uses his phone and bluetooths everything to me...as for pictures, i email them to my inbox

rename .mp3 or whatever to .3gp--no converting needed just rename that last part of the file.

The phones come with memory card so you can store stuff on that or by phone.
--By phone go to phone settings and change usb setting to modem. Install software that came with the phone. Connect the phone and run the software. This way, it directly transfers files to your phone.
--By memory card, go to phone settings and change usb setting to mass storage or whatever. Connect phone to computer via usb. Open up that drive or something should pop up on windows.

As for Java, pm me about it because it's sorta complicated.

umm do u know if the software needs windows xp service pack 2? my sister had same problem with her creative vision m and turned out the software needed xp sp 2.

I had a few PMs about the ringtones so I'm posting what I replied to those people here:


1) Open a Windows File Browser thing like that.
2) Go to Tool->Folder Options->View
3) Make sure that the box that says "Hide extension for known file types" is unchecked, like in the picture.
4) Go to your media files and right click->Rename.
(5) And what I did is copy it into a new folder where I just keep all my ringtones.)
6) Go to the end and where it says .mp3 just change that to .3gp
--------------------------------Example:
Clazziquai-Play Girl.mp3 --> Clazziquai-Play Girl.3gp
Now when you copy it to the phone/memory card you should have the option to set it as a ringtone

hey i just got my phone yesterday and i am trying to Dl the software and when im DLing the usb driver a box pops up saying that the softward has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP. do i continue anyway?? thanksss
