well what happened was
i cracked the inside of my LCD on my canon sd400 recently
nd its supposed to be like $120 + $50-$70 labor charges
so the guy said its just better to get a new camera rather than go and try to fix it
nd i was wondering is sd450 a lot better than sd400?
i know it has a larger screen, but i dnno is it any bulkier?
if you have used both before, what do you prefer

i got sd400 over the summer for like $300?
but now they sell it for liek 200-250
nd they sell the sd450 for like 250-300
so i can either choose to replace my camera or get a "bit" better one lol

so what do you prefer? biggrin.gif comments about the sd450 would really help lol

The only difference is that the 450 has a larger lcd screen. Other than that, they are the same camera. I really have no preference. If I had the money I'd probably waste it on the bigger lcd.. but that's jsut because I'm a stupid person.
I am the minority here.

i have the 550 but i know the entire canon line pretty well. canon never make a model that's a downgrade. you can always be assured that the model that replaces the camera will always be better. the sd450 is not that much different than the sd400, but it does have some improvement such as the larger LCD screen, etc. If i were you, i'd rather buy a new camera rather than pay the repair service.

You could sell that camera for parts if it still functions. Someone is going to want to rebuild that camera.

Then you could apply the money from the sale towards the new camera.
