design student in need of suggestions or advice...PLS~

Hello everyone,

Im a design student and i am in need of some assistance or any advice. My "fictional" brief which was made up by the lecturer is to create a direct mail promotion on a "new" perfume by either Alexander Mcqueen or Vivienne Westwood, so i chose to do it on Alexander Mcqueen. The name of the "new" perfume i chose was "Matriarch". Anyways, i was hoping if anyone could give me some advice or suggestions on what i could do in terms of a "direct mail package promotion" which will have a sample of this "new" perfume in it.

you might get more responses in the health and beauty section...not a lot of people frequent this area of the forum..but yeah. a direct mail package promotion...is that like an actual package or could it be like a postcard type thing? you know those perfume ads in magazines? you could make one of those with a postcard with a design on the front then have a little panel on the side that had a sample of it on the side..hope i'm not confusing you too much. i'm not very good with describing things in words. so yeah...hope i helped get you going.

yeah, or instead of a sample, you can make a "smelling page" of the promotion...like in Avon there are pages with the smell of the parfume/body lotion/etc....i think it's much cheaper to make these pages if you send the promotion to many people than in sending samples...
