i was thinking and hoping for this match to take about 3 hrs
after the 2nd set i was thinking maybe not
but he ended up finishing it in 3
haha now i can sleep for a couple more hrs before i get up for work hahahaha

the 1st set was amazing
he played so well, everything he hit seemed to go in
that was really the old roger we havent seen for some time
then 2nd set was just a bit bleh
and at the end of the 3rd and whole of the 4th set
back to some great tennis
not many UEs at all
serving so well and hitting everything just great
i'm so wowed
and the post match interview he was sooooooooooo charming

i dunno if i want him to play rafa or murray
seems like roger would rather play rafa and get some revenge

Watching on Ch. 9 so the Nadal Murray match has just started. Going to check the scores, now. I kind of want to go to sleep but I don't cause I have to get up at 7 and I know I won't be able to if I go to sleep now. xD

Rafa has been playing a lot of tennis this year, getting to A LOT of semis/finals and the likes, so I'm wondering if the continuous matches are taking a toll on him? Will he turn it around to 5 sets? Or is Murray going to run off with the momentum? This is pretty much as surprising as Tsonga getting to AO finals!

Oh, I think Rafa has a great chance at winning this semi now that there's a delay. He can regroup and come back. It's pretty much inevitable. ^^; But best of luck to Murray. I wonder how he'll pull it off if he does get to the finals. I've never seen Murray play against Fed, but I heard he beat him earlier this year? The other three semi-finalists has beaten Fed at least once this year. Heh.

Quick Q: If they have to play the rest of the semi tomorrow, will they also have to play the final the same day or is it going to go to Monday?

I dont know if the delay is going to help Rafa regroup or Murray. Many people had Rafa in the finals and laughed when I said Murray had more than a chance. But Rafa doesnt go down without a fight, that's what I like about him. So I wouldn't put Murray in the finals just yet either. If anything Rafa will come back regrouped.



AND OMFG Federer won! (okay a tad late) but yesterday I gave him a 35% chance of winning, and went to bed feeling depressed. I know... shocking lack of faith from a faithful supporter.

And he said he wanted to see Rafa in the finals. awww @ their man-love.

^ that shot was indeed amazing. definitely a favourite from the match. we were able to see some classic fed shots yesterday. it was a good game. though he could've easily won it in straight sets.



rafa's match so far is a tad disappointing. hopefully we'll see bit more of a fight once the match resumes. since he'll have some time to regroup. give us a 5 setter rafa!

well I thought Murray was just simply on fire in the first two sets. Rafa wasn't playing all that badly, but he just wasn't able to play HIS game coz Murray wasn't allowing him. I'm in two minds. I love Murray's game, and want him to break into the mix, but I don't want that at the expense of Rafa.

^ and yeah I thought Fed really could have had it in straight sets as well. Mental walkabout in the second set was not pretty. But the first, 3rd and fourth set were all VERY pretty. So YAY! *how anticlimatic would it be if he doesnt ... (not going there)*

Now Murray v Fed would be really interesting. Murray actually leads their H2H 2-1. Though the Dubai loss this year was a bit of a fluke in that Fed was cleared by doctors to play the day before Dubai started, and was clearly physically drained.

Murray is playing phenomenal tennis out there, and Rafa would have to play a five setter to win and then play Federer in the finals. So I would give Murray a better chance of defeating Federer if he gets through to the finals than Rafa.

Murray has to win 1 out of the next 3 sets while Rafa has to win all 3 to make finals, so I def like Andy's chances. Having said that, apparently Nadal is 10-3 win/loss in 5 set matches, so if anyone can pull a comeback, it's him.
