Just got back from the Serena Wozniacki match. Didn't stay for the doubles. Oh, well. Wozniacki is amazing. And the crowd loved her to death.
I arrived at the Gasquet Simon match about 5-4 in the first set and left at 4-2 in the second. I couldn't take the heat. Not even for Gasquet. Holy crap it was terrible. And I really wanted to stay. I don't know why, but when we left the court I just about fainted. And my hearing went all whack. Was it the heat? Maybe I haven't been in such conditions in a while. Disappointed in myself, really. D:
And add me to the list for next year, please. xDD

Yesterday night's match was intense.. LONGGGG.. Wozniacki should've taken it out.. haha
I stayed for a few games in the doubles but had to leave as I had work today.
loveprint, the heat was beyond unbearable yesterday.. apparently it's just as worse today?
OMG.. Tsonga AND Djokovic for the night session tonight! OHDAKFNAKF A!!
I'm so tempted to go again...
Am definitely saving up for next years AO though!

Nina (hoping that is actually your name lol), sorry to hear you didn't sit through the whole Simon v Gasquet match, you sounded like you had a heat stroke. It was 39C in Melbourne yesterday too, and I was dying from the heat. Not to mention I look like Rudolf the red nose reindeer right now with all my sunburns. I tried to be sunsmart too

Felt like it. D: But I've never had a heat stroke before so I wouldn't know. But it was awful.

Haha yeah, they show Kooyong in the mornings up until 2 or 3pm. Or whenever Lleyton plays LOL.
Looks like it's Safina and Dementieva in the final. (:

Just got back from Kooyong, "slip slop slap" didn't work, I'm literally roasted now. It wasnt a hot day but the heat inside the stadium was just unbelievable, not even a breeze.
But there was definitely ALOT of "TMF eye googling action" going on for me today. We had the best seats - 2 rows from the front, and just a few rows in front of Mirka's box, I was tempted to turn around and take a picture of her, but thought that might be extreme, no one else seemed to recognise her.
After the match, we saw some people wearing RF caps leave straightaway without watching the handshake at the net or post-match interview, so we left and followed them - lucky we did, coz Federer came out straight at us from the player's exit, he was about a meter away from me, signing people's giant tennis balls, caps and tickets. I had one of those "Nice Shot!" fans they distributed in my hand so I stuck it out and he signed it! He was GORGEOUSSSSSS
How much do I love Kooyong?
Anyway, pictures!
This is the view from where we were sitting

This was when Fed came out after the match, just before he signed my fan

I got one from yesterday. It's just sitting here, though. Maybe I can get it signed or something next year. xD
Tsonga, who powered his way to the Melbourne Park final last year, was scheduled to play Finn Jarkko Nieminen on Thursday night.
The world No.6 had been bothered by his back during his opening match against Simone Bolleli, receiving treatment during the breaks.
Woo, another page.

And a little of Beijing cause it was so special. <3

My autographed fan/round thingy, the autograph is upside down because that's the way I shoved it in front of Fed.

and Federer walking onto centre court

this was taken prematch, when Federer was talking to the MC and Verdasco.

and the ... tush, we had perfect view where we were sitting

anyway due to the rain, i only got half of the match between djoko and ancic
and i was already a bit disappointed that tsonga had pulled out
but ah well i was suspecting that might happen anyway
the match which i got wasnt that bad... but the serbian and croatian fans were just way out of control and i was sitting amongst them all... really bad sportsmanship... how many times did the chair umpire have to tell them to behave!!!! and the security guards were trying to shut them up too
but all in all it still wasnt that bad coz i was much closer than i expected
it would have been nice if i had at least gotten a full match tho

Aw, that really sucks.
From that last photo, I can tell you that you got some amazing pictures. xD Woo!
I got a couple of good ones of Gasquet and Serena, though I took it with my friend's camera so I can't post them, yet. I'll try and get them off her soon. I wanted Gasquet's autograph. T_T I probably could've gotten it if I stayed till the end. Sigh.
Oh, and when we were waiting outside centre court yesterday Alicia Molik walked past and no one recognised her lol. People only realised who she was when a couple of young boys ran after her asking her for her autograph. xD She literally stopped two feet away from where I was standing. I was contemplating whether to get her autograph or not. I didn't.

The Croatians and Serbians are notorious for being loud and rude. There were quite a bit of troubles at the Australian Open last year, I'm pretty sure capsicon spray was involved.
And yes, I sorted through my photos, and I took a whole gig worth of them.

well i was expecting the serbs to be loud but i think the 2 groups just aggravated each other
and they were really rude when they were interviewing tsonga on court as well... couldnt hear what he said really
anyhow, just checked the site, play has resumed!!!!!! 2nd set is 4-3... hmmm perhaps i should have stayed longer... thought they wouldnt resume play tonight since it was raining quite heavily when i left...didnt get my money's worth damn !lol

No, I think she only got tickets for Wed and Thurs, if I'm not mistaken.
Haha, I'm totally looking for myself in your photos. I was in gate E Section 209. You got some good ones. I took a picture of giant Federer, too. xD
Nalbandian v Gasquet today. I'll be at work, but hopefully I can take a peek now and then.

And yup, Im not going to Kooyong anymore, frankly I'm too broke and too sunburnt. I have tan lines in all sorts of weird places now
I've seen all I needed to see anyway. WOOOOHOOOOO RAWJAAAH!
If I sound like a completely moronic fangirl, it's because I am, but Fed has perfect skin and hair.......

Just sorting through all the photos, we got pretty close to Verdasco too but it didn't even occur to me to stick my fan out for an autograph, though he was signing right in front of me for about a minute.

Hahhaha, but then I moved.. and got closer. My mum said she saw me on tele.. hahaha xD.
Gasquet and Nalbandians match starts at 1PM, so I can only keep tabs on the match via live scoring during work. Eh.. go Gasquet!
dOotsiez: Awesome photos! You got so close.. I'm green with envy.. haha Only a few more sleeps til AO starts. Can't wait! It will be a restless fortnight at work when AO starts.. late nights, early starts.. aiyah!
