the bagel in the first set must have hurt but can't say i didn't see the loss coming. szavay is a tough customer and venus was already struggling in her earlier matches. if it's a small consolation, she managed to take out szavay in doubles later on that day. regardless i'm sure she's thinking about wimby by now.

Arrrrrgggh Venus. One of the worst matches I've seen her play of late. Nothing was working - the serve was subpar, the groundstrokes were wild, her timing was off. URGH!

My only consolation - the last 3 times Venus lost 3rd round of Roland Garros, she's gone on to win Wimbledon. That's right. Grass glorious grass!

Maria Sharapova is through to the fourth round, I totally feel like a proud mama. She's exceeded my expectations of her comeback by far.

She's been fighting really well despite not playing her best tennis. Her next match against Na Li is tough but she might pull it off.

I'm kind of, secretly rooting for Li Na cause I want her to get through. T_T Was disappointed that Zheng Jie exited so early. But either way, I will be happy. (:
