Ok... I like Andy Murray and all, but WTF is "ANDYMONIUM???!!!!"

LOL XD

I was watching Maria's match when Dulko was serving for the match at 5-4 last set, and when I saw she went from 40-15 to deuce, I was so sure Maria was going to break back and all, but so sad she missed her chances TT___TT

AND Zheng Jie lost today too. adkfjhadklshf

^ "Andymonium"? FARHARHARHARHAR! Gotta remember that one

Lots of upsets on the women's side of things, which is no longer even surprising. Nice win for Hantuchova though, this is a surface that I expect her to feel comfortable on, but she's managed to choke away too many chances.

Ok so we've talked a little about how the press treats their British players AWFULLY, especially after a loss. Just wanted to let you guys skim through some more of these excerpts. Towards the end it gets worse. My God.

http://tennisworld.typepad.com/tennisworld...-brittania.html

Needless to say, I would rather be reincarnated as a sewer rat than a British tennis player at a Wimbledon press conference. Talk about mental abuse!

thanks wendy! ❤

Andymonium?! .__.
I'm so excited for Hewitt's match tonight. xD

Just for some uh, giggles. There's this person at my work who bets every time there's a grand slam. She bet on Federer for RG, which, I think, she got lucky. Not saying Fed's win was luck, by any means, but Rafa was the obvious favourite.
Anyway, she bet on Rafa & Masha for this year's Wimbledon. xD

Really? Was it that shocking?
I expected Hewitt to give him a run for his money. Straight sets was a surprise, though.

YES! I'm so happy for Lleyton! I like DelPo, but I miss seeing Lleyton go deep into GS tournies! I hope he keeps this up!

And darn it, Murray won pretty comfortably. I was expecting Gulbis to produce something good today, but I guess not... =T

I watched Hewitt's match last night with my my mum, and she was just going on and on about Murray and how *cough* Roger can't beat him.
Needless to say, that ruined my night just a little.
But a great day for Aussies. Stosur & Hewitt both through to r3. Stosur was shaky, but pulled through. Let's hope she plays a little better in her next match.

^ Stosur's playing Ivanovic next match. It'll come down to who implodes first. They've both got the game.

Murray played scarily well yesterday. I thought he was a bit tense in his round 1 match, but he seemed to have eased up.

*freaks out over Fed*

Roger's playing so beautifully right now! There was this one point during the 1st or 2nd set, I don't even remember which set, but he kind of just dropped the ball right in front of Kohli's side of the net. I was like O____O

Can't help but feel bad for the poor guy. He's just trying thing after thing to try and break Roger's game, but it's just not working unfortunately. =T

I'm worried about Andy Murray though. He is playing really well... It's no surprise, but I'm worried for Roger who could meet him in the final. I know GS tournies are a different ball game... literally, lol... but Andy does have that slight egde against Roger b/c of those smaller(certainly not less important though) tournies.

I just started playing tennis like a day ago. i have the right teacher and everything....

After I play, my wrist hurts and my body aches. I'm told that I need to straighten my arm when hitting and not putting your elbow close to your side...

but even i do, my wrist hurts a lot!

Whats the problem?

^The most common problem I find for wrist problems is the type of racket you use. Most people who start out don't know much about choosing rackets and they often choose one that is too heavy for them. Although you might think the racket feels right, there is a term in tennis called "swing weight" and just as it sounds, it refers to the true weight of the racket as you swing. You can try switching to one with a lower swing weight or just one lighter in general and see if that helps your wrist. The way you actually swing your racket does affect the wrist too but this might not be the biggest problem you're facing. Either way, I would recommend doing something soon because wrist problems are dangerous and can develop into something chronic if you start playing regularly. Good luck and have fun!

thanks wendy! ❤

^ ah if you're worried about your wrist, then I'm not sure that this thread is the place you'd go for answers. Better talk to someone with more medical knowledge.

Federer's playing well. Could've done without him giving the break back, but you gotta give it to Kohly. Played some fantastic tennis.

Tsonga went out to Ivo Karlovic. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

^ LOL how did that "hurt"? I didn't mean it in a dismissive way. Not at all. Sorry if it sounded that way. If you have physical problems/pain, sometimes you can make it worse by taking conflicting advice. And it's even harder if you're looking for answers online, because people don't know the exact nature of the pain or background or how much physical strain was put on the wrist. eyeluvyew asked for advice. My advice was to just ask someone she/he trusted with medical/physical advice, either a doctor or a trainer/coach if she/he has one.

I was cheering for Stan but what a game. Both players played really well and if only Stan could've convert his break chances he might have won the game
