The women's game is showing some parity at the moment...a bunch of seeds have already been beaten (despite playing pretty well) led by fourth seed Dementieva and fifth seed Jankovic. No need to mention that top seed Safina has played two ridiculous tough early matches already....

With all of that said, Sharapova's draw just got a whole lot easier (on paper) so she might find herself deep in the tournament even with an on and off shoulder.

thanks wendy! ❤

Look what I randomly stumbled upon... http://ernestsgulbis.wordpress.com/ biggrin.gif

Actually I was trying to read up more on him after one of the TV commentators said he comes from a very wealthy family. Apparently his father is a millionaire (billionaire?) businessman........hmmm Ernests just got twice as attractive than before didn't he? tongue.gif

thanks wendy! ❤

Yes indeed! His grandpa is a film legend in Latvia who apparently wisely invested his money. His mum's a famous actress. And his dad is a famous national basketball-player-turned-banker. So they're loaded, and Ernests is your typical trust fund kid.

*ahem* I know too much about this. cool.gif

Aha, *cough* Maybe I should trade Roger for Gulbis.xD

The men's side looks pretty good in terms of seeded players. Women's, not so much. Azarenka lost! O: Li Na's through to Round 4. (: So are Penetta & Zvonareva. And Marin served a couple of bagels to Levine.

Did any of you guys read about that Federer Look-A-Like? xD I don't think he looks like him at all besides the hair. Though he's got something if he gets himself into some tennis gear.

Unfortunately, this year, I couldn't go to see Roger on the day he's playing... BUT. I got to see Serena ^______^ AND! I got her autograph! WOO HOO! I'll scan some pics in later! I also bought the jumbo tennis ball(which is SO incredibly unnecessarily expensive! ugh ugh and ugh!). I couldn't get Serena's autogrpah on the jumbo tennis ball, but I got her autograph on the magazine they were selling! I turned to a page on Serena and she signed it! She was freaking a FOOT away from me! I had the biggest fangirl moment, but whatevs! HAHAHAHA. XD I had some awesome seats too! so unfortunate I got stuck with watching Daniela Hantuchova/Vania King and Andy Murray/Paul Capdeville. Oh wells~ I got Murray's autograph too on the jumbo ball, so it's all cool I guess. I will def. scan in pics later though!

And hooray for Roger! I didn't get to see the match AT ALL, but oh well again... I'm kind of torn on who I want to win between Maria and Melanie Oudin actually.... Would love to see the young American, but freaking it's Maria on the other side of the net!

I feel so bad. T_T I was SO tired after animania, so I went to sleep at 12.15am, hoping to get up at 1 to watch the match. My alarm went off several times, but I just couldn't get up. I ended up getting up at 4 to check the scores. Eh.

So, Andy Murray & Taylor Dent, ey? :D

And oh? Roddick is 2 sets down? I might have to watch this one.

He wasn't playing well? I've yet to check the stats.

Who else is watching Roddick's match? I'm liking Isner. biggrin.gif Playing very well, serving smart and out aceing Andy by alooot. UE count is a little high, but eh. And the guy only went pro 2 years ago!

I was supposed to wake up at 1am to watch the Fed match as well but was soo darn sleepy so I didn't get up to watch it till a friend of mine texted me at like 2am and said Hewitt took the first set. Then I got up and watched a bit. A fair bit of UEs on Fed's part, but glad he still made it through.

I'm watching Rod's match atm. Seems it's a tight one.

Something's up with Isner's knee, and I'm afraid he might be out of this already.
I might just take that back. He's not playing like he was, but he's still in this.

Whoa, fifth set tie-break. Oh, boy.

IKJGASLIGJIAJGH A BREAK!

HOLY CRAPPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JOHN ISNER! That was incredible! Became a bit familiar with the edge of my seat once again today! And he's only become pro a couple years ago??!! For seriously?

I have to admit, I honestly thought USO was going to be Andy's this year, but man! Kudos times infinity to John Isner! I hope he does well the rest of the tournament! haha

I'm actually pretty upset for once that Rod lost. But hey, Isner was playing pretty darn good and he had a mean serve. Congrats to the guy!

AMAZING from Isner! What guts S&V during the tiebreak, even on second serves. Mad props. Wow - Roddick is gone by Round 3. Who saw that comin'? Ouch.

Sharapova's gotta do something about her serve. She's fine when she's not under pressure, but it just breaks down so freaktastically when she's being pushed, and she's not someone like Dementieva who can live with her serve being a mess. Once the serve goes, so does the rest of Sharpie's game.

Roger who? I hate that guy. Haven't seen him play this badly since Miami this year. Error after error after error. Ridonk.
