^Well, when he lost to Murray and Mary Carillo suggested that Roger didn't try, Roger got pretty pissed off. I really think he's just preserving energy, though.

Eh, whatever. Bottom line is, I hope andy is making a comeback. Okay, Andy's first round aussie match is on espn2,anyone going to watch it with me?

nah all the tennis players looked like they tried, melbourne was real hot that week, nothing below 28 degrees, heatgot to them, its still hot here in melbourne, suffering drought

I think Roger let Roddick win. besides the Kooyoong classic is just an exhibition tournament, Roger will not goof around if its a real match.

Baggy, Safin and Roger won yay!

I wanted Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Roddick's opponent to win. Tsonga is a good Juniors player. Roddick needs to change his attitude(*ehem*foul-mouth*ehem*).

And i wanted Nadal to lose. He is confident to win so he is not improving his game. his previous opponents who beated him just used the same tactic to beat him and other players started to figure it out on how to beat nadal. lol even roger gave some advice to him. he is too one-dimensional and he's having too much injuries.

oh my freaking goodness...I almost pissed myself watching the Safin match. WHY MUST HE DO THIS TO HIS FANS! Hope he gets to the third round so he can slaughter Andy for being such a prick in his match

I'm so used to his potty mouth and silly antics on court that it doesn't bother me.

Dude, it's like 101 degrees out there in Australia and 120 on the courts. How do they play?

Wow, looks like a lot of the seeded players are getting through the first round by the skin of their teeth. I'm sweating while watchin' em.

She doesn't jump at ALL? I only saw the very last bit of that match...when I didn't see her jump, I just thought it was because she was really tired.

Okay, seriously, what is up with our seeded players? Ljubicic is out (Go Mardy!!), Federer gets broken a record number of times, Nalby goes through a really tough 5-setter (well, not a full 5 since his opponent retired), as does Safin, Nadal narrowly wins the first set...Sharapova looked horrific.

At the rate they're all going, the second week of the aussie open is going to be some fugly-ass tennis.

It's usually like this in the first few matches anyway so don't worry. It's a new year and players are shaking off the rust. As for the Duck...he was basically cussing at Tsonga for no reason. He even did this to Murray when they were supposedly "friends" and as much as I hate Murray for being a little baby, I was as shocked as he was when Roddick started cussing at him during a match for no reason. There ARE other ways to pump yourself up :/

Tell me about it. Sharapova and Hewitt gave me a scare today. Especially Sharapova who was leading 5-0 in the deciding set.
