i played the metal gear solid online beta...i dont like it

guys, I'm in. finally saved enough. 2 quickies?

-how hard was it to swap the hard drive for a bigger one yourself? Manual includes instructions on how to do so yeah? does it void warranty?
-do other region games work on american ps3s? Was looking at some japanese games.

Swapping them out was easy, took a few minutes and does not void warranty at all.

BD games and movies are region free, ps1 & ps2 games are locked to their region; so if you plan on playing lots of imported ps1/2 games (Japan for example), you'll need a Japanese ps3.

i played the metal gear solid online beta...i dont like it

alright im not the only one...maybe its becuz im more of a run and gunner type of player, and was more use to the fast pace of CoD4/Resistance...but MGSO was just to slow for me...i played it for a few hours when i first DLed it, but havent touched it since...(well i think GTAIV being released has alot to do with that too)

MGSO is awesome. I guess it's the instant gratification kind of thing and short attention spans that put it on the do not want list.

GTA4 online is pretty fun when you have a pretty good size amount of people playing.

does anybody know how to fix a problem with the controllers, everytime i start up the ps3, the controller goes to slot2 instead of slot1, and everytime i start a up a game i have to manually switch the controller from 2 -> 1, its a bit annoying, not that big of a deal, but if anybody knows how to fix it, let me know

^ maybe you assigned that contoller to slot 2? I'm not 100% sure, but that's my guess.


as for MGO, i like it a lot. Takes time to get used to, but i think it's freggin awesome. The whole CQC aspect is awesome, i find that playing it seems a lot more tactical than pretty much every other shooter type-ish game out there. And also the sneaking mission mode is epic win. Playing snake is so awesomesauce.

Can't you just hook the controller to the 1st slot so that it reads it as controller 1?

I think if u just press the playstation button on the controller, and reassign it to be #1, it'll work

try plugging the controller into the USB port and turning the ps3 on...that might work...i know you have to do that if you have more than 1 ps3 and the controller keeps turning on the other one.

any1 hear about the gametrailer.com debacle?

appreantly they were doing a 360/PS3 comparision video for GRID...they were trying to show the crashing physics, saying the 360 was better, they showed one as the "360" of a car crashing and doing flips with parts all around, and then showed the PS3's version of a car heading straight into a wall and not doing much else...bbbuuuuttttt by looking at the controller input display on the "360" version you can see its actually the PS3 version...both videos were from the PS3 game of GRID, but GT tried to fake it as the "360" version was better...LAME!

its the same stupid trick in every comparison. PS3 can change the resolution in the option.

Well, I'm down to 3 games now for my PS3. Uncharted, UTIII and Hot Shots Golf. Trying to trade off UTIII on Goozex and trying to finish Uncharted to do the same. Really, the only game that makes me play my PS3 is Hot Shots Golf: OOB.

i just played the haze demo today. i never really thought much of the game and playing the demo hasn't changed my mind either. deleted within 15 minutes.

anybody see the video for mirror's edge on psn? that game looks freakin sick. seems kinda parkour inspired too.
