It's easy to find out if a PS3 model is backwards compatible or not. Just go to Sony's site and they have the serial # for each model, so you can write it down if you decide to buy it from someone off of craigslist or eBay. If you just want to play PS2 games then just buy a PS2. Or you can buy an older PS3 model that plays PS1, PS2, PS3 games, blu-ray player, surf the internet, store music, photos, videos, etc. I bought my 60 GB BC PS3 for $330 of the week when the PS3 price dropped.

I bought PS3 when it was 1st released paid over £400.00, ever since I’ve been downloading PS3 games directly on my PS3 from the play station store paying for it, I’ve paid substantial amount of money for the games, and all the games are stored on my PS3 60 GB Internal hard drive, is there anyway I can backup these games onto my computer or an external hard drive, how can this be done?? And also I’ve seen a these torrents on Net where you can download PS3 games end play them, I’m a bit confused they seem to be all compressed (winrar) how do I transport them games on to the PS3 and play them, anybody has any ideas or have done this before. Is there a process for it? Help is much appreciated

Is anyone going to pick up a PS3 Slim at Black Friday? The best (or only..) deals I've seen are from Bestbuy (PS3 120g + Little Big Plant + Ratchet & Clank for $299) and Walmart (120 g PS3 + InFamous + Batman: Arkham Asylum + Dark Knight dvd for $299) The only downside is that the Bestbuy one is a doorbuster (which means you have to get up at like 3 am for tickets...)

I don't know what my PS3 GOTY would be as of yet. I didn't think Uncharted 2 was as great as everyone made it out to be. With way too many gunfights, a lack of puzzles, sometimes no sense of direction as to what to do next, and some really iffy jump mechanics at times, I just felt it had too many flaws to make it truly excellent.

Infamous was good, but didn't hold my attention long enough to want to finish it.

As of now, I am afraid I will go with Uncharted only because there isn't anything else. The PS3 really needs more J-RPG exclusives.

I played White Knight Chronicle at E3 and I was very unimpressed. Gonna pass on that one.

Star Ocean 4 was awful on 360. Nonsensical story and poor dubbing.

Get BlazBlue. Its the most unique fighter I've played in a while. Valkryia Chronicles is a no brainer as far as RPGs go (and it's $20 now! )

Got Bayonetta a few weeks back but I got to play a few rounds yesterday.
It's a pretty decent game so far, the visuals are nice and it plays pretty well.
The story seems interesting but it is a bit confusing and it feeds you a hell of a lot of background info at the start it doesn't all sink in.
