neways the reason why ebay was taking them off their site is becuz it violates their TOS which states you can only do preorder auctions 30 days from the actuall release, so alot of the auctions listed before Oct 17th were being erased...but now their saying you can only do it if you have it in your possession becuz they dont want frauds (like what happened with the 360) so you have to prove it with pictures and a reciept...
i have plans to get the Wii, but id like to see a bit more third party support, and see how they develope for the motion sensors...

the first receipt. notice towards the bottom...there a $100 reserve for >020072 Sony Playstation< thats the SKU # for the Premium Edition (google it)...also youll see some number at the top ##.../03-004, thats means i was the 4th transaction of the day, which is right since 2 employees preordered themselves one, and i was 2nd in line...second receipt is when i went in there a couple of days ago and put down another $100...see same SKU.

ill post another reciept when i play the last $400 next week if you like.

for those of you who pre-ordered PS3 prove it take a picture of receit.....
Jealous?
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to take a 2 hr road trip to take pictures of my cousin's and gf's receipt. You guys should check out your local Toys R Us if they're accepting pre-orders. That's how my cousin who works there got it. 50$ down payment. (Different cousin - he's keeping it for use.)

Does the PS3 have any good games with gameplay?
I'm usually a Sony guy, have been ever since Playstation 1 (I have a Playstation 2 right now still) but I haven't been keeping up to date with Sony's latest. I've been more interested in the Nintendo Wii. What are the BEST things about the PS3, and what game will be the "Halo" for PS3?

I'm debating on whether to get a Wii or PS3. What are your guys' takes? I want good gameplay and it looks like the Wii has that interactive out of your seat gameplay. But I recently saw footage of the FPS on the Wii and it looks buggy and it isn't as great as I thought it'd be. The reticule can run off the screen if you pull the Wiimote to far off the scanner or screen. That sounds BAD.

I say it depends on quite a few factors. Graphics, some are easily drawn to great visuals at the cost of gameplay. Now surely the PS3 will impress with it's visuals but if history has proven something it's that a bunch of games on Sony systems are rehashes time and time again. Now all consoles milk whatever they can out of a series but because Sony has the most support, expect it to frequent the PS3 more. Now, as for the Wii, there is Mario. Honestly, I've never seen Nintendo dish out this many Mario titled games on their system ever. Lack of support does hurt 'em so it would only make sense to create Mario Party "+", and whatever Mario themed game they can come up with. The plumber in blue jumpers can only do so much and I've grown a bit tired of it all myself. Audio department, Sony takes the cake obviously. The batch of next gen games on the X360 & PS3 will be in Dolby Digital 5.1 so if you have a good setup to take advantage of it then it's a pretty big factor in getting the most bang for your buck. The Wii will once again stick it out with Dolby Pro Logic II.
If you've been playing PSOne & PS2 games and scoffed off every Nintendo system and title during those years then you're best bet would be a PS3. Just know that to fully experience what the system has to offer, you'll need an HDTV and surround sound setup. A set bigger than 34" should suffice, reason for this is because with smaller sets it makes it quite difficult to distinguish between 480p & 720p (SD-HD), so keep that in mind.
Here are some gameplay clips of gamers on the Wii, it looks like it can get boring rather quickly.

I can't say for sure that I'll be getting one, the price tag for one thing and also I'm really against Blu-ray or any other proprietary format Sony comes up with. Perhaps if the price would drop and Sony rethinks the whole DVD format war they sucked us gamers into at our expense $ then and only then I actually might reconsider. Both systems at launch have a pretty weak lineup, proof of that is Zelda. It's a GCN title on the Wii which has gotten alot of buzz and for the PS3 there is just Resistance: Fall of Man. The only possible reason I can see why anyone would want to pick up any of the two consoles mentioned would be for bragging rights.
Wow, apologies for the huge rant.

Actually, they did that to benefit us and developers. Blu-ray discs hold about 40% more than HD-DVD. Which means they can pack more stuff into our games without short changing us or themselves due to lack of space issues.
Yeah, both systems don't have that great of a launch as far as games go, however the PS3 has a huge line up of impressive games on the way.

Now I really don't want to get into the middle of the console wars here but Blu-ray is all about greed. I seriously don't believe developers will create games that will take up single layer BD. A dual layer BD is 50GB and single layer is 25GB. It's hard to imagine what exactly will take up all that space. Oh yeah, I know...10 year old MPEG2 compression technology.
Reason being, Sony at the moment stands to lose a large amount if the BD camp should decide to abandon MPEG2 completely for AVC or even VC-1. Now who stands to gain here, Microsoft. Royalties I believe plays a big part in this format war so I don't necessarily see Sony jumping ship with all those backers. This can only explain as to why Sony stuck it out with MPEG2. They cash in on license fees, seeing as they are part of MPEG-LA. The absolute last thing Sony will ever do is admit defeat and do what is in the best interest of Microsoft their neverending rival.
As for Call of Duty 3...

In short here's the skinny on the format wars between HD & BD...
