I hate the whole, "PS3 IS THE SYSTEM YOU SELL, WII IS THE SYSTEM YOU KEEP" thing.. What I hate the most is that some people don't even play video games but they will still buy a PS3 just to rip someone off and make a 200-300% profit. In my opinion, people who do this are selfish and overtly greedy. Sure, it's a quick way to make a quick $600-$1000, but why not be considerate and just let those who really want to play it, just pay original price like they should be? Why can't these people just get a job and stop ripping people off to make their money? These personal sellers are making the market more competitive than it already is. I think whoever buys a PS3 that costs more than it's market price is a complete idiot. WAITING > Overspending. It's stupid to just be spending 200%-300% on something you could have gotten at original price if you just WAITED.

Sorry for the rant but this happens every time a new console is launched and I think it's about time that the companies do something to outlaw sales of consoles for at least 1 year, from the launch date until the anniversary of its launch date. That way, there will be enough consoles available and people won't have to buy consoles at 200% price. And sales of consoles will be legit.

Not as many (smart) ppl are going to pay marked up bc they know beforehand they should preorder and or wait it out.

The idiots that buys the system overpriced on ebay are ussualy people with deep pockets that doesn't have time to go out and wait in line to preorder or buy it. So in a way, they're paying for the system and fees for people like me to go wait in line and get it for them. Kind of like a job I guess =P (i have a real job too)

The only real jipp I see is that real gamers know for a fact that all release consoles are filled with bugs. Where as parents buying it for their kids don't know about those things. I'll be getting a PS3 for myself in 07

Yeah I'm actually getting a Wii, and I know nobody is really reselling the Wii or anything. The main reason for the Wii is because of that Trauma Center game, looks cool. I also want Call of Duty 3 but have you guys heard anything about it? I heard it will be a killer game for the xbox 360 and especially the ps3, but I heard it is lame on the Wii, mostly because the Wii lacks a strong multiplayer.

If I were getting a Wii, I'd only get the Nintendo exclusive games, including Penga. Don't waste your time on the Wii version of COD3. The multiplayer aspects are a huge reason as to why that game is good, buy it for the PC if you have to.

Midnight PS3 madness in Japan...

After spending time watching a few HD snippets of Resistance Fall of Man on the PS3, the system has alot of potential granted it's not limited by Sony's online network. Still after playing CoD3 for the past couple of days, I have to say that title rules as a war shooter.
So what's it now, 6 days left for the U.S. release date.
As for smart gamers, they are the ones who pay alittle extra for an extended warranty at their place of retail. 1st gen systems always fail in one form or another until revisions make way later in the future.

i see no problems buying it day one...just like CK92842, get warrenty, extended if available...my first gen ps2 still works perfectly to this day and never had a problem playing any new games...

im buying to ps3 to play it, not sell it on ebay and make money...i play video games, simple as that.

I got a chance to spend a good few hrs on Fall of Man; wow I was left speechless lol.

Had a 10 player inhouse scrim as well just to get a feel for the MP aspect, its damn good.

as of right now Sony hasnt talked about any adapter for the version that doesnt have Wifi...so right now the $499 can only go online with cables...
