I'm planning to take Behind the wheel here in Virginia pretty soon and so I was curious about the things you actually do. I understand theres about 7 days of driving around and you get picked up after school. But I also wanted to know the little things like was if it was akward sitting in a car with random people and if the instructor was mean or nice. So basically shair your experience please!

i took behind the wheel in va. i live around the nova area and took the class from Ali. (i think they closed down, they were easy) my instructor was cool, he made it fun to drive with him. he said there were going to be 4 or 5 classes but i asked him if i can finish early so i took the test on the 3rd day

behind the wheel is easy, all i did was drive around for about 15min. no parking or anything. drove a little on fairfax county parkway but nothing much
its the woowoo family

1st... failed. crossed over the lane during an intersection.

2nd... failed. didn't even get off the lot. stupid ass worker was grouchy as hell and failed me for 'not looking at the back before i shift into reverse'.

3rd... oh snap! i finally passed with a perfect score.

i took it in culver city, california. one of the strictest dmv's in los angeles region. during the test, just exaggerate everything. always look at your mirrors but move your head instead of your eyes to show that you are looking at the mirrors. when you stop, count out-loud "1, 2" before resuming acceleration.

It was ok. My instructor was a tired skinny Chinese man that drank milk out of his thermos and sat on Chinese cartoon books taped together so he can sit higher. Weird guy. He didn't teach me much but I got the practice I needed. It shouldn't be hard, just make sure he starts you off in a quiet local street.

taken in pasadena, ca.

1st test: got some woman who didn't speak english clearly. failed with double critical errors - intervention by examiner and dangerous maneuvers.

2nd test: got an asian guy, rumored to be easy. passed with minor errors here and there. Overall much better than first.

I already practiced the exact route over and over before the actual test so i kinda knew what to expect.
