Does it happen? Admission acceptance to your reach/super reach/dream college? I'm talking about a student who applies even though he/she is almost certain that he/she will be rejected because of lower stats.. but applies anyway.

sadly...no..... -______- ..i applied though.....but didn't get into the uni and course i wanted.....so i stayed at a diffrnt uni for a year then transferred....and got my first preference that time! ^___^

LOL yeah, I got into JHU and I definitely didn't have stats for it. But mind you, it was Peabody Institute so I'm sure it's a different story.

I always knew which school I was going to go to since it was the only public university on the state. I wouldn't exactly call it my dream school...I don't even think I had one while I was applying to colleges. But If I did have one, I'd apply even if I knew I probably wouldnldn't get in because you never know what might happen. At least you can say you tried

Errrr - yeah - UNSW BE Seng - well, actually, it was just Seng I want so what I did in the preference was placed EVERY possible uni that had Seng with the top three choices being UNSW, UTS or USYD (well, actually, I placed USYD as far down as possible 'cause their engineering faculty SUCKS - no offence to USYD-ers) with leftovers at Canberra or ANU. So yeah, in that respect, I don't really have a "drea" university - more dream DEGREE - get the marks to get into seng for EVERY uni - THEN, I thought about the uni - haha. *shrug*

me tooooo, except not peabody. i applied as bme, which is ranked #1 in the nation at jhu, and they only take approximately 100 to 125 freshmans. i applied ED so that means only about half of those spots were open. but yea, that was weird. haha.

I envy the ones that got into the college they was hoping for. I was rejected from 3 of my top choices, hahaha. I had to rely on my backup one, its okay but no means what I consider a choice. More like a torture. =/ Now im just trying to make the grades to transfer, ;_; dear someone help me!

no...i'm currently at my last choice college...but i think it's for the best. i wouldn't be able to do as well and i wouldn't have been as happy if i had gotten into my top 3 choiced schools
