a 1995 GS-T auto does 15.5 stock. (I'll assume it's the same for the 96.)
RSX-S does about 14.9 stock.
Who will win?
Chances are pointing at the type S.

number 1... it's turbo.
number 2... it has an aftermarket intake and exhaust system.
number 3... turboed cars modified with an intake and exhaust system yields a lot of power.
therefore, my pick... 96 GS-T by a moderate walk, due to the auto gearbox.
neener neener... can't catch me~!

i had taken that into consideration as well..
..but the fact at it was an auto....
this is a race that i would like to see...hahahaha
just for the hell of it, so we can all see the results.
i wonder if anyone on soompi could have this set up for us and record it on video.

you're right, this is a race i would love to see as well.
well since the eekripse is auto, it can also powerbrake for an effective launch especially in favor of reducing some turbo lag.
on a roll though... i have no clue what the outcome will be.
neener neener... can't catch me~!

how much hp does the eclipse have? and how much would the mods add?
eclipse gs-t were rated at 210hp and 214tq.
the curb weight of the car is 3079lb.
someone correct me if i'm wrong..but isn't the eclipse engine just a 4g63?
with a full exhaust system and an intake. i would guess the power would get bumped up to around 230-250.
if it was a manual gs-t...then i'm pretty sure it'd be no contest.
the fact that it's automatic is the balancing variable to the equation.
like i said...
if anyone here knows 2 people with cars like these..
an eclipse gs-t with bolt-ons and a stock rsx-s...
race for us soompiers!
and make a video too.

Ok, first off lets look at it this way...both drivers suck at driving..automatic GS-T wins because all they have to do is give it full throttle and they run what they usually run.
GST =1
RSX = 0
Automatic GS-T bad driver vs RSX good driver...the RSX has 6-speeds so that off the back tells you that it has shorter gears than the 4 speed automatic GS-T. Meaning they will have to let off the gas at least 3 times assuming the race goes into 4th gear. The GS-T takes it because its already modded considering they are both in good condition.
GST =2
RSX =0
I do not want to say the GST is quicker or faster because if the GST were to have traction problems like mines had, it could allow the RSX to win.
All in all, its a damn good race because the GST is an older car that has taken more of a beating than an RSX. GST has massive torque steer and just shows how much power it really makes with that small t-25 ball bearing turbo. It spools up quickly and gives power from about 3500- 6500RPM. After about that RPM, that tiny turbo is a nice heater under the hood.
Feel free to quote me on anything, I've got a couple things up my sleve about both cars. I for one am fans of both cars, I'd take the RSX because its simply sexier!
