Drunken Tiger @ Power Korea Concert

Their performance was great! I assumed that Tiger JK was just going to do Liquor Shots and Isolated Ones and call it a day, but i was surprised that they actually did Thumb and Good Life featuring DJ Jhig, and Tasha even dropped Wonder Woman! I was going crazy! Also, like J5 mentioned, Tiger JK said they are working on a new album reuniting Roscoe and Miki Vision in 2006 (nothing said about Shine, though).
The crowd was so dead during their performance - i even heard that Tiger JK and Tash decided not to go to the fan meeting (which is totally understandable). I don't want to sound like a hater- but if the entire arena went crazy on their feet for Epik High, then they could have at least clapped or cheered for Drunken Tiger. I thought the popularity of Epik High would open new doors for mainstream listeners to more Korean Hip Hop, but last night showed me that such was not the case.
It was cool that there was a handful of Drunken Tiger fans that weren't afraid to cheer, but overall, i think they were the least popular performance of the night. People are even posting on Soompi that they fell asleep or they thought their performance was too long...

No wonder they kept asking the crowd to be louder and stuff. T-T
My friend is a HUGE Drunk Tiger/Tasha fan so we were pretty loud.
I thought Bin & Suh Ji Young got the least cheer..;;
I guess it was different by area. Their performance was awesome though!

It kinda sucked that one of their mic's went out or something, too!
i thought that people would at least stand up for isolated ones, but only a few people did. I know there were some good fans at the concert, just overall in the whole stadium wasn't feeling it. I think there were too many older people and families with little kids and stuff, and maybe they didn't like the fact that Tiger JK was cussing so much (lol). But still, if all the young people went crazy for Epik High, they should have at least cheered for Drunken Tiger and Tash

i was really impressed with how good tash was because i never saw her live before!
i really think that drunken tiger deserved a much better response than what they got. i mean, c'mon, they were the ones that introduced hip hop to korea!
if i were them, i'd be sad that my own hometown LA didnt support me

Tiger JK is so nice. My friend asked him if I could take a picture with him, and he became kind of embarrassed because he thought he looked horrible. So he straightened his beanie and his jacket and happily took a picture with me! He even remembered my name. My friend just introduced us...then later on, Tiger JK was introducing us to his friend, and even included me in the introduction. @_@ I wasn't even part of his group of friends.
Ms. Drunken Camp president took lots of pics and video footages which you will probably see soon. Other famous friends of Tiger JK was there too, to support him and Tasha.
They seemed really tired, but when they were on stage, they gave it their all! I was impressed.
Here is a picture I took...I could only take pictures of the screen since I was standing on the side.

I gave Tiger JK and Tasha gum...hehe.

They're still the best rap I've ever heard compared to Epik High.

i was there. front row and everything.
us, khype ppl, were cheering and screaming like crazy. we supported every artist that came out. we had a Drunken Tiger banner..w/ Tasha on the back also. it was awesome..they surely saw us cuz when they did..they'd smile or wave. they had to since we were front and center. you see that yellow security guard in those pictures..that's where i was.

you see where he's standing...that's exactly where the banner was he was probably rapping to them. my friends were holding it, while i was more to the left where the security guy was at. he was in my way a lot of the time.
the sucky thing is..the security guards wouldn't let us jump..or even stand..which kinda ruined the concert for me. but i still enjoyed everything about it. so yeah...we were so hyped about them, but the security ppl made us sit, so it seemed like we may have been bored. but we were all still screaming and waving our glow sticks with the beat. and got up a few times here and there and the security ppl would have to keep telling us to sit. cuz of all the boring people behind us. they couldn't see. itz their freakin' fault. if they wanted to see..they'd at least get up. i paid $200 bucks for my fun..but cuz of them..we had to enjoy it sittin' down most of the time.
you all should've been at the front. that way the security ppl couldn't have controlled us. good thing we were a crowd of 6..so all of us just went crazy. the girls next to me frequently get up with us too.
and i was at the fanmeeting. they were there. Drunken Tiger was awesome! MC Mong too.
we held the banners from the concert at the fanmeeting as well. drunken tiger actually came down to the fans. i got a real hug from Tiger JK..it was awesome. my friend got it on camera.
then they were basically the only ones that wouldn't leave at the end (when they were being dragged away) and continued giving autographs to the fans. i got both autographs. post later. and they also got a hold of our teddy bears that we threw up to them.
this is what i got from it.
i didn't know that ppl didn't support. us in front row did...like crazy..even when we were seated.
it sucks that that was the view from the inside and back of the arena.
us in front row couldn't hear the crowd all too much...much less..didn't care to even look back. we figured everyone would've enjoyed it.
next time...relocate yourself..heh heh. to a better and more enthusiastic area. cuz ppl around can just throw you off sometyms.

Just a Thought!?
Anyway thats too bad that JK or Tasha weren't getting any love from the crowd, yet people were loving Epik High. hmm?

At some point Tiger JK needs to get the memo that without DJ Shine their is no Drunken Tiger.
Just a Thought!?
Anyway thats too bad that JK or Tasha weren't getting any love from the crowd, yet people were loving Epik High. hmm?
Yeah, i pretty much agree and think the majority of longtime DT fans feel the same way. Ever since Shine left I thought that Tiger JK should have released One Is Not A Lonely Word and his most recent album as "Tiger JK" albums instead of "Drunken Tiger" albums. But still it was nice to see JHig at the concert and i think Tiger JK is still making great music.
