Our featured artist this week is the new generation sexy diva Chae Yeon. In a short 3 years time, she has taken the k-pop world by storm and is one of the more popular female singers now. A lot of new female artists come up with the sexy concept these days, but Chae Yeon stands out not only with her image, but her music, her dancing, and her delightful personality. Chae Yeon first appeared in the entertainment world in Japan under the name of “Jinny” in 2000. Having passed an audition held by an entertainment management company in Japan, Chae Yeon first appeared on a popular show called “Woojjang-Nanjjang’s Woorinari” on Japanese NTV. She appeared on the show for almost 3 years. Along with the television show, Chae Yeon(then Jinny) performed as a singer releasing 3 singles and 1 mini-album in Japan.
She returned to Korea with her first official album “It’s My Time” under her the name Chae Yeon.
Debuted late in 2003, nobody expected her to be successful as she is now. She was just "another sexy concept dance singer," just like the numerous that debuted back then. However, unlike many others, she had a fair debut, and she proved to be worthy of a great singer. She proved to be a great dancer, and she showed off her vocals in her ballad songs and live performances. Her first album did fairly, with her title song, "위험한 연출" that did very well. However, her real success came when her 2nd album released late in 2004. Her title song, "둘이서" was one of the most overplayed song on the radio, and everybody was addicted to the song. Everyone caught on to her famous "Na-Na-Na" dance, and she won numerous #1 ranks in music shows. Her appearances on variety programs only got her more fans, and people loved her warm and positive personality.
She returned after months of preparation for her 3rd album, and it was yet another hit. Her title song, "오직 너" was popular among the people, and her new single "세번쨰 사랑 (Third Love)" is now gaining much love. Chae Yeon is considered to be one of the best dance singer right now, being compared to the great Kim WanSun, and also rivaling some of the biggest singers out.

For his latest effort, TIM spent 1 year and 8 months preparation time and even got involved in the production work himself. He was ably supported by top composer Yoon Sang who helped him with the title song In Dreams ("The Dream of the Snowman") (Track 1). Also contributing to the beautiful sounds and R&B rhythms on TIM's new album was a 20-member string orchestra as well as some of K-pop's top artists including Hareem, Sam Lee, and Kang Soo Ho among others. The rookie who swept the rookie award in 2005, Lim Jeong Hui continues her street performances since her debut. Lim Jeong Hui's 2nd album was produced by the producers of Rain, god, and Noel's albums; Kim Do Hoon, Jo Eun Hui, Choi Gap Won, etc. Also, Joosuc, in which Lim featured in his song "Hip Hop Music", also contributed to the album. Epik High and rookie singer K. Will also featured in her album.
Her second album is to show a much stronger side of Lim Jeong Hui, yet she has done it in a soft portrait. Her music video for her title song, "Love, Don't Leave" (사랑아 가지마) was produced by the same producer of Wheesung's "In a Year" and KCM's "Tear of the Sun."

The ex-member of the group 'The The?' found success when she went solo. Her past five albums have been successful, and she contributed to many OSTs of dramas, movies, and even CFs. Busy from late last year, She worked with the musical "Maria Maria," and she did not have much time preparing for her 6th album. However, it is finally ready to be released, and her 6th album shows the combination of the genres Ahn previously released. Her title song, "Yesterday" was worked on by Loveholic's Lee JaeHak (acoustic guitarist), and the rhythm is just like the songs that she is known for. This song has lyrics that will bring back the old reminiscents of people's past. Also, the main producer of this album was Jung HanJoong, who was a member of Butterfly Effect. Her 6th album specified to bring out the unique voice of Park Hye Kyung's, and to bring back the old past of her.
