i kno a kid who has a psp but he bought it from hongkong. he also can download the games to his psp...so whut i was wondering was if i bought a psp white that wasnt would i be able to do the same thing with a us version psp?

he probably got it early with the old firmware. I bet the new white psp's from asia are equipped with the new firmware that prohibits homebrew etc.. or i think

you can always downgrade firmware =)

but only if its from firmware 2.0...and FW higher cannot be downgraded...yet.

I see a lot of psp white on ebay that says they have the newest firmware. I would definately buy a white one over black cuz it looks better and I bet you don't see fingerprints and scratches either. But it costs around 350-400 right?

i have a white psp. it's really nice but since there are no u.s. white psp's, you can't watch any of the umd videos in the u.s. only the japanese ones. but you can play games from anywhere so if you're into psp for gaming white one wouldn't be bad but if you're getting it for umd video then definitely no.

Just fyi, psp has a price drop in like a week or something. Supposedly down to $199, but it think they're reorganizing the value pack.. maybe they wont give you the 32mb stick or.. the headphones or something.

theres a white psp that cost 250 or 270 no 350 if u google it. caz i remember looking for white psp n sum site cost about that much

my cousin sucessfully flashed his psp he bought in australia. i dont own one so i dont really know what he did. =/ gotta becareful though i heard there were fake firmwares where it turns your psp into a brick. in otherwords it turns it into a useless piece of sht with no OS and cannot be flashed for a differnet firmware and voids your warranty.

doesnt make a difference if it's black or white... my cousin has a black and white one .. both have been flashed with the older firmware.
