Nerdy Engineering students with no manners ever see these people around?

I work at a lab in the university and it's full of graduate students. There's this one guy who has this habit of stomping his feet on the floor. He does it frequently and it drives me nuts. He'd be working and then suddenly stomp his feet. When he opens the door to leave the lab, he makes such a ruckus. He can't just open the door and leave. He has to make all this noise and open the door and then grabs his wallet for some reason and then the door closes and he has to open it again.
There's another guy who wears the same clothes everyday. And his cell phone is always ringing. He talks so loud and everyone can hear what he's saying. He's talking about drinking and what a wild night Friday night was. I think he's doing it to show to people that he actually has a life. He probably hangs around people just like himself. Obnoxious and rude.
There are also some really fat, nerdy guys who block the entire hallway when they are walking. IF you look at how most people walk in the hallway, they usually try avoiding bumping into each other and if they see a professor, they nod their head in recognition. But these guys walk right in the middle of the hallway and they don't seem to see their surroundings. They don't try to avoid hitting people and when they do bump into someone, they don't apologize. They just keep walking. One time I saw one of these guys bump into a prof and he didn't even say sorry. I can tell the other students are pissed at these people as well.
And then there are a lot of the rest who act so cocky in class. They ask the most retarded questions and try to show off how smart they are.
But the thing is, these people may be smart but I can't imagine them out in the real world. I can't imagine them working at a company. They're just going to piss everyone off with their manners. How good of an employee can you be when you can't even maintain any interpersonal relationship?

The real world will teach them.

you study engineering? wow, and you're a girl too. I don't see many girls in engineering.

Oh, nonono. I'm not engineering major. I'm WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY too dumb for that. ^^;;; But I do have quite a few friends that are engineering majors.
yah engineering is tough
but smarts isn't everything. a lot of engineering students are smart but they are clueless about anything else.

True. But aren't we all like that? We're experts at one thing and clueless about others. But yeah erm.. I'd kick those engineering students at your school and run.

I hate to say this but I hate their guts. It's so obvious that they don't fit in with anybody else but they can't even learn some manners. Their lack of manners just makes people hate them more and isolates them from everyone else. At least if you're nerdy but you have manners, you might be able to make a few friends. But these people just piss everyone off.
If they have no respect towards their fellow students, at least show some respect to the professors.
btw, I'd say I'm pretty well rounded. I can do a variety of different kinds of work, which is kind of a bad thing but it can also be a good thing.

Aww.. calm down. They'll learn eventually.
Until then, just think about the "nicer" engineering students. ^^;;

there are plenty of jerks and people who are full of themselves in every other faculty . . . could be just because there are more in engineering then everywhere else, since we tend to have a pretty high pride in ourselves and sometimes that pride overflows and it becomes just plain rudeness >__________>;;
i just tend to ignore people like that or just treat them the same way they treat me

the business faculty is full of cool people i think. not to be shallow but they tend to take care of their appearance more and they're very polite.
its the engineering faculty that has all the eccentric, weird students. most are normal but there's a small core who are just out of this world.
btw, i have no engineering pride at all.

tho, i think that ppl that are heavy into math/math related courses usually have some issues connecting with ppl.
sometimes math ppl seem so friggin blunt it ticks me off.
yes, i have encountered those types in language arts classes too, so don't start with me.
i think it's just that when someone's extremely into one thing (math, english) they just...get damn annoying.

I guess I knew this Korean boy in high school that yelled in random Korean phrases every minute in our math class.

Anyways, he is pretty short, but he has a huge gut. It wouldn't look so bad if he didn't wear the tightest shirt ever. His man-boobs literally jiggle every time he walks. You want to look away, but it is not that easy!
He also wears his treo on his belt buckle and uses it all the time. The worst of all.. he has an ugly brown suitcase that is actually a laptop case to protect his laptop. He brings it EVERYWHERE.
He is also very loud, and he tries to make jokes all the time, even though they're always lame. You kind of want to tape his mouth shut because he interrupts the professor all the time.
As annoying as this guy is, I am deeply angered when my classmates start to pick on him verbally. Nobody deserves what was said to him, and even though I'm not too fond of the guy, I usually stick up for him when I hear the crap that some people say. Everyone think I'm a laid back, cool guy.. but they also know better to pick on someone who are harmless to them.

Haha im planning to switch to Computer Engineering in Hardware next year but right now im in Computer Science and there's some werid people too. I know this guy that goes "yeesss" after every line he gets in his program to work, I mean its fine but during a 2 hour lab and you hear "yessss" every min, its annoying. There's also some stingy people that always think you're trying to copy them. All I do is ask a simple question like what methods or variables did they use and they would go busting a nut on me like I was trying to steal thier programs.
yah they think what they know is the holy grail or something. most of the code nowadays are freely available on the internet. if you need to do something, just take something similiar and modify it. those people are such idiots. they think if they write a little program on their own and it works, its like it raises their pathetic selves or something.
Hahaha, wow... you guys meet some crazy people.

its always embarrassing when someone of the same nationality as you embarasses himself because it kinda reflects on you too. lots of chinese students who talk loudly and have the worst manners
