i started my period today and it hurts like a motherfugger crazy.gif vicx.gif wacko.gif . i feel like somebody is grabbing the insides of my stomach and pulling it downward. ugh! that, or i feel like somebody's punching bag! the first two days is always a pain in the ass for me.

what do you do when you start your period to avoid any pain? do you eat certain foods? do certain exercises?

please don't suggest taking medication like midol.
so we'll just let them hate
cause they can't stop us babe

When having your period, it is best to go for walks and do active exercises, because it will ease the pain. Well, that's what my P.E teacher told me.

^ i dont think that's very healthy..
well, i dont usually have really painful cramps. just a lil cramp but i can still bear it by crouching on my bed . i can still walk n all. only a few times happened that i had BAD cramps. i fill a bottle with hot water and rest it on where it hurts, like the back near the crack, or between my pelvic bones

It isn't but if I don't take pills, the pain never goes away.

I was told that warm showers/baths helps. Along with drinking lots of water.

Avoid caffeine as it usually makes things worse.

I'm the lucky few who rarely feel any pain during their period, but sometime, i drink a hot beverage and always feel better. I know exercising is good and blah blah but i just HATE being active when i'm on my period tongue.gif

You gotta got through the pain, periods are apart of a female's life up until menopause. Pop a midol, drinking tea, excerisizing; anything that lessens the pain so we can get through the day.

Then pig out when we get home -_-.
