If you get caught cheating at a University, what is the likely penalty? I heard it is expulsion or a lowered grade. I also hear that you get one strike.. and if you do it again then you are expelled for good.

You get expelled from the school most definitely. You are put under review and I think you get a record for it. Meaning that other schools might know about your cheating (I'm not sure on that one though).
Most universities have a zero tolerance policy on cheating and plagarism. Its usually one strike and you're out.

i guess it really depends on each university but most of them probably take a pretty harsh stand against this sorta stuff - as sHiNHaWk you'll probably be put under review - get a mark of zero with a huge blemish on your record but be allowed to continue (if you're lucky) or just get kicked out...

at my school, you can pretty much guarantee that you won't be going anywhere in life. they put it on your permanent record (transcript, or whatever) that employers and admissions officers see.
