I've managed to register in Daum.
But there are some cafes who require a social number and a korean phone number it seems.
Here's what i get :


And after i click on the Foreigner button, i get this:


And there is no way i can enter my own phone number because i can't choose the right area code =_=
Is there another way to enter those kind of cafes ?



Oh, and for those wondering about the confirmation code.
No it doesn't go that fast. But if you're not that comfortable with korean numbers, i recommend to do it like Clear Wind said.
Personally i've copied on a sheet the romanizations before i called.
And then when the automated voice said the numbers, i wrote down the romanizations instead of writing right away 2-4-5 or whatsoever.

I messed up when I got through to the second page, accidentally went back and had some refreshing problems. Now it won't take my phone number cause it already went through? Any solutions other than entering a different number?

I managed to create a Daum acc using tutorials from Soompi and Google translate tool. ^^;
But I am now having problem joining KWill fancafe. Seems like tht they only allow Korean but not foreigner to join in as they keep asking for Korean Social Number and korean phone number. I tried with my passport ID but it doesnt work. I'm just wondering if this fancafe is only open to Korean and if it not, how to walk around this. Hope tht someone might be able to help out. Below is wht I encountered when I wanted to join KWill fancafe.

i have the exact same probLem too!
i finaLLy managed to setup my daum cafe account ('twas very challenging i must say) but i can't join any of the cafes. X__X to think that that was the main reason why i went through aLL that troubLe in registering for an account. X__X

Thanks so much for the tutorial. This is why I like soompi forum so much. Everything I need can be found here! I was trying to sign up after I noticed that foreigners could sign up too. But I didn't know how even after pasting the text and translating it. I eventually googled Daum Tutorial up and it linked me back here.
