everytime after i take my car for a ride and get out of the car, i notice these weird sounds commin from my car. they sound exactly like water dripping down into a metal pan. i look underneath my car but theres no signs of any liquid dripping
does anyone know what the cause of these sounds are? and how do i fix it? =\

If it sounds like water is sizzling off something hot, then listen in to trace it. You just have to keep looking until you see the fluid dripping.
Could be a hose carrying coolant or it could just be your A/C condenser. Coolant hose you will want to take care of before you lose too much water, A/C condensor is normal to see water dripping after using the A/C.

Does it sound more like two sheets of metal clanging against each other?

It's the oil dripping down onto your oil pan after the car is turned off. Nothing to worry about

Oil can't be that loud...other things to consider are the heatshields/exhaust system that's contracting while cooling down.
That is what I was thinking. My car makes a sound similar to what is being described, but it is coming from my exhaust system as taoh said.

its definetly noticable when ur standing next to the car. u dont have to put ur ear right next to it. but if u step away alittle, u wont be able to hear it
