No, ugly does not = shallow, because if someone is shallow that does not necessarily mean they are ugly. Therefore you don't make any sh.itworth of sense. And, most people didn't say he looks hot, can't you read? [sarcasm] people are just saying he's got nice songs and how talented he is and not how handsome he looks.
The reason that many individuals here, myself included, are disagreeing with that other girl's comment is because
Why say 'no offense' when there is offense. Can I just say "No offense. You're UGGGGLLLLLLLLLYYY"? and you'll just be like "OH ITS ALL GOOD MATE!"
And if she is right saying that about Jay, why can't I do the same? Rhetorical question~
Ok, what is your definition of shallow then? Because what she said was a prime example.. it should be published in a dictionary, instead with correct grammar of course.
Because she's actually seen Jay so she has a basis to judge on his looks on, while you on the other hand have never seen her, so your comment seems more like an attack. I know it was a rhetorical question, but I just had to say that.
But let's not make this thread hostile. I like Jay, he's talented, I like his rapping, though his singing isn't the best (in my opinion). I personally don't think he's hot. I mean there are way hotter people than him, but he's talented. There are a lot of good looking cpop entertainers (i refuse to call them singers), and many of them are crossovers from acting, but no matter how much better looking than Jay, they just don't possess that extra "omph" in their music. JAy isn't butt ugly, but he is no where near HOT, but his talent is what seperates him from other cpop singers. This is one reason I listen to Jay and not many other Cpop singers.
I admit though I do get kind of annoyed by his mumbling and some of his repetitive songs, along with his pissy attitude, but I still like some of his music. He's def. one of better cpop singers.
but hes a great composer and has a nice voice... but still.. hes.. UGLY.
I don't see how this comment is shallow. She just said he was ugly, but still acknowledged that he composed well. Being shallow would be saying "He's ugly that's why I don't like his music," or "He's ugly and therefore he is a bad composer." Just stating your opinion on a star's looks doesn't mean your shallow, but if you attribute their talent to their looks, that's shallow.
