But let's not make this thread hostile. I like Jay, he's talented, I like his rapping, though his singing isn't the best (in my opinion). I personally don't think he's hot. I mean there are way hotter people than him, but he's talented. There are a lot of good looking cpop entertainers (i refuse to call them singers), and many of them are crossovers from acting, but no matter how much better looking than Jay, they just don't possess that extra "omph" in their music. JAy isn't butt ugly, but he is no where near HOT, but his talent is what seperates him from other cpop singers. This is one reason I listen to Jay and not many other Cpop singers.

I admit though I do get kind of annoyed by his mumbling and some of his repetitive songs, along with his pissy attitude, but I still like some of his music. He's def. one of better cpop singers.

I think she should have a right to say Jay is ugly without being to prove that she is better looking. I mean what if she were ugly? Would that not give her the right to have an opinion that Jay was ugly? Does she have to be better-looking than Jay to call him ugly? If I think he dresses bad should I post up my wardrobe and prove that my wardrobe is better than his? I don't know how it's shallow to DESCRIBE someone's physical appearance. It was not a compliment, it was what she thought he looks like. She thinks he's ugly. But she still aknowledges he's talented. So she is obviously "un-shallow" enough to see through his "ugliness".

Like someone said "Beauty in the eye of the beholder" So someone can think he is hot and another can think is ugly. But I think we are all gathered in this thread to describe our admiration for Jay music, not to argue how "hot" or "ugly" he is. honestly, I have not heard to a single taiwanese artist that I would consider awesome...Jay's ok I won't die listening to him, but I actually do have a bit of a problem with his songs sounding the same. The man's talented, and I can understand wanting to keep his style...but it is possible to innovate within a style.
