I've been a fan of Jay since 2003. i havent stop liking him since. When he first came out he brang his own different music style to the taiwanese music. He has to be the most talented around at the moment.

I think, in my opinion, that Jay is a TRUE singer and musical prodigy.

The man writes his own music, composes his own music, directs his own music videos, choreagraph his own dances, and plays 4 intruments masterfully. He has his own music style, fashion style.

He's not like those other singers who has a fake image. Those who does what their company tells them what to do, what to sing, how to sing, how to act, who to be, what to be, when to be cute, when to be mature, etc. Jay actually does something with music, not just sit there and wait for other ppl to make his music for him and then take all the credit using his face.

So I'm just stating my opinion here. No offense to anyone.

hahahahha i totally agree.... the man has TALENT!!
i think he's great....alot of stars nowadays get popular because of their looks (look at more than half the HK idols) and their music is terrible...

jay is different.. he's on the top because of his original music.... i was reading the TIME magazine they had on Jay a while ago and i loved how they said "His teacher thought he was dumb. Idolmakers thought he was ugly. But Jay Chou has become Asia's hottest pop star" HAHAHHA shows them!!!! Jay rocks!!

that time article is what got me curious about jay's music

i've been a fan since i got yi hui mei - the first album i bought but obsession kicked i n when i got my hands on fantasy

that was around may 2004 i think

hahhaha Jay is the hottest ugly guy out there!!! His music makes me like him ALOT ALOT and i think his whole image is just so cool. Takes alot of charisma to make people think you are so HOT even if you don't have the best face in the world.... i wish i could go to a Jay Chou concert... i couldn't go to his concert at Mohegan Sun when he came to the US

i was so sad......

I shared the same feelings as 'Special Ed' back then, I thought he was so ugly and look more like a human that had yet to go throught evolution(which means I think he looked like a monkey) and I wondered why my friend likes him so much.

But after listening to his 'xing qing' and also 'shi jie mo ri', I was totally so in love in him and his music!!! Heard that his new album is gonna be released in august,not sure. Hope it can faster but still maintain e high quality...

I'm a guy so I couldn't care less about his looks. His music is great though! I have: Fantasy, Fantasy Plus EP, Ye Hui Mei, Qi Li Xiang, Shi Yi Yue De Xiao Bang (November's Chopin). I am currently in love with November's Chopin as well as some tracks from Ye Hui Mei. He is a talented composer and lyricist. Vocally, he isn't as strong as other people in his field, but his other work makes up for it IMHO.

His latest EP, Huo Yuan Jia, for the new Jet Li movie is also awesome!

lol when I first saw Jay's mv I was trying to see what he looks like.. but his face always hid in the shadows, and if not that his hand covers half of it haha... but I was like oo the music sounds pretty ok. Then I gradually started listening to more, and yi fu zhi ming REALLY got me to be a fan of his. That song rocks =P

Anywho I wonder how Jay is going to handle Jolin's new song about him =X

OoOoOoo ... I think, in my opinion, is cuz asians in the US are only a minority, not the majority. So if they come overseas, they won't make as much money as just doing a mini concert in Asia.

Or maybe they just don't know we overly-obsessed-overseas-fans exist. Lolz.

its probably because of the tough hours and the lower fan reaction overseas. i know that at Mohegan Sun, they have to perform at around 2:00 AM and then again at 2:00 PM. i'm sure these casinos pay big money for these stars to come overseas tho, including giving them money to gamble in the VIP rooms.
fan reaction differs from artist to artist, Jay Chou's concert at Mohegan Sun was awesome since it was packed, but i have been to some that werent nearly as full.

btw, what does DIAO mean?

I have a mandarin class but I'm afraid to ask my teacher for the real meaning since at Jay-Chou.net they said that based on pronounciation it can come out as the male's private part. LOL. Ok ... hmm ... but basically its a slang word Jay uses to say "cool".
