I'm reading Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser for my English class. Hm.. it sort of reminds me of Upton Sinclair's The Jungle.

I just got done re-reading one of my all-time favorite children books: Treasures of the Snow by Patricia St. John. It is such an uplifting and inspiring Christian book that surely warms my heart no matter how many times I have read it.

Currently I'm reading Battle Royale since I heard so much buzz around it. It's good so far; a little cruel but strangely addictive. I just couldn't put it down as I keep on wanting to know what's going to happen to all these kids and how they're gonna deal w/ each other.

kafka on the shore was good..but not my fav. it definently belongs with 'hard boiled wonderland and the end of the world' and 'south of the boarder, west of the sun' type. i prefer his 'dance dance dance' and 'sputnik sweetheart' type, these two are my favorite so far. 'norwegian wood' is the in the middle.

I like it enough so far, I'm about halfway done with this and 'Hardboiled Wonderland and the end of the world' and then I'm taking a break as well. He has these recurring themes (lost cats, isolated loner male characters, bizzare incidents during WWII) and I'm pretty sure if I keep reading any more I'm gonna start looking for patterns and such which may or may not exist.

He's good stuff though.
My avatar is NOT a picture of me, that's Nishikido Ryo. And yes, he is hot.

Ooo, I love that book to bits, just makes me smile. I have volumes 1-7, is there actually meant to be a new one out right now or soon? Lol, gosh, will need to check.

I just started reading Memoirs of a Geisha. So far so good, and damn, I should've read it like last year since I bought it back then. lol!

It should! It's pretty much The Jungle for our generation, since it serves the same purpose of exploiting the food industry by showing its dark underbelly.

To say that Battle Royale is "a little cruel" is a HUGGEEE understatement hahaha. It was an awesome book though. I'm still studying Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead for class, but I'm going to read Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt next smile.gif

Sense & Sensibility by Jane Austen... I'm trying to read it in a week for school (I have to finish reading 3 texts before school starts) and I've only got like 3 or 4 days left for this week and I've read like 10 pages!?

"next" by michael crichton. i'm kind of a closet crichton fan... i acknowledge that he's not the best writer out there, but i still read whatever he puts out and love the research he puts into everything.

^Me too. I finished Twilight at 4:45 in the morning and rushed out to Wal-Mart to get New Moon at 5 (in the morning). I was so sleepy yet I couldn't go to bed without having New Moon in my possession. I can't wait until Eclipse comes out!

Edward Cullen <3

I would so love a vampire boyfriend like him.
