If you like fantasy I recommend the Sevenwaters trilogy by Juliet Marillier and Wildwood Dancing also by Marillier.

oh, and I just finished Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyers and I am starting A Knot in the Grain and Other Stories by Robin Mckinley

Was it better than the movie? I saw the movie version and thought it was just okay. I read The Hours, though. I thought it was fantastic!

Anyways, I just finished reading The Queen's Fool by Phillipa Gregory..I really liked it smile.gif Great historical fiction. Now I'm moving on to The Jane Austen Book Club by Karen Joy Fowler. I'm trying to finish it before even looking at the movie version.

I never saw the movie out of my huge dislike for Colin Farrell. The book is not a HAPPY one and there isn't much plot (just follows the life of the characters), but it was amazingly written. If you liked the Hours, definitely check it out.

Just finished Just Listen by Sarah Dessen. I really liked how they mentioned some of the characters from This Lullaby. My next book is Out by Natsuo Kirino. It's completely different from Sarah Dessen's books. It's suppose to be a psychological thriller.

Both are my summer reading for my English Lit. class.

If you're gonna read anything from Mary Higgins Clark, you gotta go for older books...
I'd recommend the following from her:

A Stranger is Watching
While My Pretty One Sleeps
Weep No More, My Lady
Loves Music, Loves to Dance
The Cradle Will Fall
All Around the Town
I'll Be Seeing You
Stillwatch
Where Are the Children?

The Awakening is one of my favorite books, but one that many males will say they "don't understand." Some of us English lit majors were loudly arguing about The Awakening and Catcher in the Rye over a beer pong table my senior year in college. It's one of those books that guys say they don't get in the same way that women often complain about Catcher in the Rye.

The Blue Girl - Charles de Lint
Marked - PC Cast & Kristin Cast. Got my copy signed, even though I really never wanted to read the series.
The Historian - Elizabeth Kostova

Been too busy and lazy to read lately. =|

EDIT: Does Bass Guitar for Dummies count too? DD:
