has anyone come across a translation for the lyrics to "Best Friend"?? Off of "Hoshi wo Mezashite"? Seems like there are lots of translations for their older songs... thanks in advance!

haha there's too many pages in this thread to go thru one by one.

anyways i've been a jpop fan since 5 yrs ago. have taken a break to listen to kpop for some time.

when i tot i was over the jpop craze, guess what? i came back to it cos of yamap and kattun...

initially i went to taiwan to get ikebukuro west gate park cos sg dun have, and saw yamap's performance in the drama.

it was real good. since then, i've met some JE fans along the way and got to watch nobuta wo produce and kurosagi.

yamap's the man!

nvr liked NEWS in the past, but bcos of yamap, i tried to listen to their songs.

no offence, it kinda helped a lot when uchi and kusano were taken out of NEWS. i could accept every single member cos the number has decreased and i kinda have an inkling who's who except for shige. tegoshi and yuya had their sub-band, koyama was in kurosagi too, i saw ryo in ichiritoru no namida, so it's like it's kinda easier for me to associate them.

yup cos i nvr know who's uchi and kusano, needless to say, NEWS was introduced to me as a 6-man band like kattun.

chaesorim, I'm like you, I'm a new fan of NewS so I prefer them as a six-member group. Now that Jin has returned to Kat-tun I can kind of understand the feelings of the older NewS fans who want Kusano and Uchi back. However, I also feel that there's a big difference b/t the situations of NewS and Kat-tun. For one thing, Kat-tun have been together as a six-member group for about 5-6 years, if I'm not mistaken. NewS started out as a temporary group of guys who didn't know each other at all (see interviews with Yamapi where he talks about how he didn't bother getting to know the other members for a long time b/c he thought he was going to end up in a different group). Later they were made permanent, lost a member, lost two more members, went on a LONG (full year, at least, again, if I'm not mistaken) break where all of them did individual activities. They all seemed to question whether the group would be reformed.

THEN, they come out with a new single which skyrockets in sales. The six are together and doing great. I dunno, I kind of feel like the lyrics to HOSHI WO MEZASHITE are kind of telling: "Is everyone here? Let's aim for the stars." Maybe 'everyone' IS here.

Sorry for the long post. Generally, I don't like groups to have more than 6 members, anyway! It's way too hard to keep track of all the guys and none of them get enough singing time. Hope I didn't offend anyone, but I'm happy with NewS as they are right now. AND, I can even tell the difference between each of their voices!

where? in a performance? or in the calendar pics? I looked through all of them and didn't see any bum grabbing! someone enlighten me! post the pics!

^ the last time I heard about him was that during NEWS's concert/tour, a fan ask them about Uchi and Kusano, NEWS reply back that they're doing fine. Kusano also emailed Koyama and congratulate him on his graduation. Ryo said to the fans for them to wait patiently... something like that.. anyone please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong or if there's errors cause I was just summarizing what I read. murdoc_19_200, I hope this help.

^^ yeh i don't mind if that like liek 8 but i mean liek 10+ are like too much. like i try to remember their neames and stuff and if you really liek them you will take the time too....i so want notty and uchi back~ they were great~! Hopefully it can happen soon somehow, and i wish i can go to thier concert someday~

I just got into news myself but i kinda miss notti bcos he's one of my fav since i'm currently downloading old ya3 epi, i have no idea why people think it's really hard to differieante them bcos they look really different.
