The same day, WWE held a press conference with a speech from his nephew Chavo, who spoke of Guerrero's four years of sobriety that would have come on November 15 of that year. Chavo adamantly defended his uncle, saying he had defeated his "personal demons." WWE Chairman Vince McMahon declined to speculate on the causes of Guerrero's death, and both men said that Guerrero would have "wanted the show to go on".

An autopsy revealed that Guerrero died as a result of acute heart failure, caused by undiagnosed heart disease and strain placed on his heart from his overworking himself. Although Guerrero had not used illicit drugs or alcohol for over four years, his past excesses had contributed to his heart failure.

On the day of his death, Guerrero was set to face Batista and Randy Orton in a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship on the November 13 taping of Friday Night SmackDown! (which would have aired on November 18). Stephanie McMahon hinted that Guerrero had been scheduled to defeat Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, a title that he had never held before.

O man .... sad ....

Its been a couple of weeks since Eddie Guerrero died. WWE has lost another of a few good technical wrestlers. WWE has really gone down some notches. Although its still entertaining. I found watching wrestling much better during the WWF days.

^ Uh, no. They passed their prime already. They were in TNA, but they still suck. I love WWF over WWE. It's unpredictable and well .. no Diva Search.

In other news ..

Diamond Dallas Page Files Lawsuit Against Jay-Z
- Former WCW star Diamond Dallas Page has filed a federal lawsuit against rap superstar and Def Jam President Jay-Z for trademark infringement. Page claims that Jay-Z has taken his "Diamond Cutter" hand symbol and used it in his products. Jay-Z uses the symbol to represent the record label he created, Roc-A-Fella Records in 1996.

Page begin using the diamond shaped hand signal in 1996 while he was in WCW and continues to use it till this day. The sign appears on the cover of his latest book, "Yoga for Regular Guys".

hahaha...ddp is an idiot! anyways..more on him:

Don't tell DDP... several readers sent word that Larry Johnson, running back for the Kansas City Chiefs, made the "Diamond Cutter" symbol with his hands after scoring both of his touchdowns Sunday against the Denver Broncos.

The Playboy curse strikes again as Christy Hemme was released yesterday morning. Hemme was recently assigned to Ohio Valley Wrestling so the news is kind of surprising. I guess they wanted to get rid of her before she embarrassed herself by showing improvement and hurting those bikini contests and pillow fights...

Anyone watch Survivor Series? I've always been a Smackdown fan only because I don't have cable and never get to watch Raw. But i like the smackdown wrestlers better so I'm glad they won even though Raw has more main eventers. I mean, they still had Triple H, Cena, Kurt Angle, and Y2J when he comes back. Even Edge, if given a good push. He was heading into main even status on Smackdown before he got injured and traded to Raw. And if Stone Cold, The Rock, or Hogan ever come back(just pretend they're still in their prime), they're still on Raw. Smackdown only has Benoit, Booker T, and The Undertaker. I just wish Kurt Angle never got traded to Raw. I miss watching his matches.

Oh I see.. so that's the Diamond shape hand.. HehE... tongue.gif

Well I miss Survivor Series but I have to agree with you about Raw and Smackdown. Batista, Randy Orton(however you spell his last name), JBL, and the ones you mention are the only well known in Smackdown.
