How bad do your 2nd semester grades need to be for colleges to withdraw your acceptance to that college?
I'm talking about good colleges like Carnegie Mellon, NYU, Michigan... etc.

i think it`s the same for all colleges.
if yu don`t pass a class, (D or lower), then they`ll reconsider yur admission

What's vital is that you don't alternate your rigorous classes into esay classes. It's better to have lower grades with difficult classes than to have higher grades with easy, breezy classes. But in general, just don't fail all your classes. That's my subjective viewpoint.

oh gosh a 3.0 seems quite high especially for a senior with a serious case of senioritis like myself +_+ i sure hope my admission doesn't get rescinded...[ucsd] that would suck butt and i'd get disowned -___-

Don't get rescinded!
To get under a 3.0 you have to try very hard. (sarcastic)
Just do well on every test and there's no way you can not get that B.

Someone I know got his admissions revoked last year for a couple of C's.
Buuut another friend got a D in Econ and she emailed them and retook it at a CC over the summer and she was fine.

well for hopkins, they said taht if you get any c's or d's then you need to have an explanation....so i'm guessing it should be about the same for those places too.
