From my understanding, if your mom made at least $0.01 last year, she has to file. (Income is income) And when you say unemployed, do you imply that she gets unemployment benefits? Cuz if so, that must be reported...

Ehh, did you send and estimate then changed it? I got that *C too and it's because the numbers I estimated was off. This means I have to prove my income taxes every year I believe.

i think if your parent(s) is unemployment, it means you must have some sort of income...whether from welfare...unemployment benefit...something? any income must be reported (especially if you're getting financial help from the government)...
maybe you should consider talking to an accountant? or some financial advisors at school? i'm sure this can be sorted out by talking to the right pplz.
