ok...so if i'm a student with about...a 3.8 something GPA...I'm in top 20% class..and hopefully it'll stay like that jr year...(there's like 200 something kids in my class. yea..small)....I take most of the APs and honors classes that are available for my grade...and i've been playing an instrument since kindergarten...and i'm in like...almost 10 extracurics..and i take summer programs, classes, etc...
...what kind of school do u think i have a shot at?
*edit: also, honors classes are not weighted at my school! only ap's...which sucks cuz the kids who take all the blow off classes end up having higher GPA's, and getting awards, etc..and higher ranking!

What are you interested in? Because some colleges like the UW are known for their med school, while the U of Illinois has a superb engineering program. My friend who had a huge list of activities and other pluses similar to yours got into Stanford ~ ? By the looks of what you have, you have a pretty good shot at most of the colleges, I'm guessing. But check out each college you're interested in to find out the number of applicants they recieve and the number they accept + the incoming freshmen's average gpa + sat score and so on.
Don't forget to have a backup school too!

with your academic standings & extracurricular activities, it sounds to me like you already have what it takes to apply to whatever schools you want.
just make sure you have a decent score on your SATs & i'm sure you have great chances at all the schools that you're interested in. i think the main thing right now for you is to think about what you want to major in...and then from there, you can research for schools that fit your needs...and go from there.
