yeah so i didnt want to make different threads for all of these questions.

1. how are northwestern & ucberk as business schools? how would you rate them?

2. has anyone taken the sat2 spanish? is having taken up to spanish 4 honors enough? any tips/advice/good study guides for this test??

3. has anyone taken the sat2 chem? how would you rate its difficulty? [and please state how much chem you knew when you took it like if you took it just after your first year of chem honors or if you took it after your ap chem test etc..] any tips/advice/good study guides for someone considering taking this test as well??

4. even if a college doesnt require sat2s, if they say they "recommend" it, does it better your chances to submit sat2 scores?? is it one of those things where they say they dont care if you submit them but in actuality they really do??

1. no clue...check ratings at u.s. news and report to get a rough estimation
2. no...and some school require that you take sat2 so honors wouldn't be good enough
3. yes. very hard. be prepared to die...just take another test (unless you're a chem nut)
4. yes submit it even if it says "recommended"

1. I actually just got US News & World Report's Graduate School rankings issue in the mail, and Northwestern's business school is tied for 4th, and UCBerk is tied for 7th. It doesn't talk about their undergraduate business courses, though.

3. The Chem test was definitely hard for me.. but our school's Chem program is very weak. I took it right after Honors Chem. Somehow, though, I got a 790 when my highest practice test score was a 700.. I used an REA study guide, and it was decent, but I would supplement it with another book like Princeton Review just in case. Tips? Do practice tests (the chem test has some strangely formatted questions) - and try to reread material so it gets in your head.

4. Yes, if the college "recommends" it, it's definitely a good idea to send it. Maybe if your scores are really low, you may want to consider not sending them, but otherwise it will give admissions more info about you.

2. Having taken spanish 4 honors IS enough for you to take SATII Spanish and do well, though it depends on how much you learned in that class. You also shouldn't rely on only what you learned in class; also buy the SATII practice books. Most people I know who took SATII Spanish did so while in spanish 4 honors

4. If it's recommended, it means having those scores will be beneficial. But I guess only take the subject tests that you're confident in.
