what are you guys interested in? i guess i'd be the most excited about school rumble since i loved the first season. air gear will probably be dissapointing compared to the manga but i'll check it out anyway. i didn't find xxxholic extremely interesting or anything after reading two volumes of the manga but it wasn't really bad either so maybe i'll watch it for the hell of it. and i'll probably watch gintama just because it's in shonen jump =P

no...pretty sure that's the new .hack series. hm, i haven't even bothered watching AMG season 1 even though i have it. i should get started on it. first season of tsubasa bored me so i won't be watching that.

new season of naruto, no more FILLERS! anyway i don't have time for anime anymore, but i really want to find out wat happens in yakitate japan. only got up to the part where samurai guy loses against the american girl in the monoco cup.

yes, i can barely believe i'm still deciding over what to watch. i only followed school rumble 2nd term and suzumiya haruhi so far...i have other shows lined up but i'm not so sure about the above.

black lagoon is simply awesome. it's action packed, and gotta love the main gal. she's tough! the characters are cool also. i'm not sure about witchblade either, gonzo animes... ehhh. i want to start zegapain because i love mecha, but i heard it's okay. i don't know why clamp have this new style of drawing but xxxholic's art doesn't strike me. i can't get pass the long limbs.

Just based from what I saw.

Zegapain - I just skimmed through some clips. Wasn't impressed by it

The Third - Is it the girl with the sword? Looked good and promosing. I'll keep my eye on it.

Utawarerumono - I think its good so far. Give it a shot.

Black Lagoon - Thought it was okay at first and didn't think it was that great. But it became good and I got used to it.

Jyu Oh Sei - Skimmed through some scenes. Looked good. Maybe I'll have a better judgement when I see more of it.

Witchblade - Not bad. I think I'll have to watch it further to get a good judgement on it.

Himawari - Only seen one episode. I think I might be in to it if I watch more.

High School Girls - Skimmed through some scenes. Looks nice. I think I might be in to it too if I sat through it.

The standouts so far are The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya and Higurashi No Nakukoro Ni. I think maybe Black Lagoon as well if I decide I like it better after a few more episodes. Then Aria The Natural, Demonbane, and Saiunkoku Monogatari depending how I feel. There's a lot of good stuff coming out in 2006 and some of them are promosing. Wish I could see what they're all like but I won't get to see all of them because I have other things to do too. I'm trying to watch as many of them as possible.

^well as you can probably tell, i haven't watched any of those. but i haven't heard anything bad about aria and i think people say you should stay away from soul link and simoun. but who knows...

I really want to start watching School Rumble. I haven't seen the first semester yet.

Saiunkoki Monogatari is definitely a must! I don't know about you guys but I'm a sucker for historical plays. For me it's kinda like a mix of Juuni Kokki & Fushigi Yuugi but the heroine isn't so whiny as Miaka and is more levelheaded plus there's a more comical feel to it than in Juuni Kokki.

Aria The Natural is like the first season, Aria. I like it.

Nishi no Yoki Majo -Astrea Testament- I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I think this series is the kind that you either hate or like.

Gakuen Heaven: shounen-ai. All-boys high school with a newcomer cute boy surrounded by lots of bishies. Well, I don't hate it but I won't shed tears either if I can't watch it. This is fanservice for girls mostly. I'll rate it average.

Princess Princess: I like it! Although it's also about all-boys high school it's very funny and this one isn't about shounen-ai though there's a bit of it too but in a funny way. You'll just have to see it for yourself. Or better you can read the manga then you'll know what I'm talking about

Makai Senki Disgaea: demon king dead, his son who's been sleeping for a couple years awakes to take over the throne while fending off other demons who want the throne and an angel assassin from Heaven. Quite funny, I recommend to give it a try!

Utawarerumono: I like it so far and I'm definitely watching this till the end! Historical setting, about feudal era, fighting looks good,....

One anime I don't hear much positives about is Kiba. I read about it and I think I will keep my distance from that one.

Say, how many of those titles do you think you'll try to see? I'm trying to see as many as I can get at, and oh, I'm stacked with other shows myself.

Currently keeping up with Black Lagoon, Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi, NANA, School Rumble 2nd Semester, and xxxHOLiC. Sort of watching Gintama, Ouran High School Host Club, and Disgaea. I dropped Air Gear and Witchblade. Will start watching Higurashi no Koro ni, Kamisama Kazoku, and Himawari.

Gintama is a pretty weak Shonen Jump anime spin-off. I'm not familiar with the manga, but I have seen the first four fansubbed episodes and have not yet been impressed at all. There's nothing about this show that pulls me in. The humor is pretty stale and the action is bland. The characters are a bit too wacky to be even considered funny at all.

Witchblade seemed kine of boring too. I stopped after the first episode, which I know is something that someone who's supposed to give things a chance shouldn't do, but I just didn't see myself progressing further with this series because of the initial storyline. So a woman goes crazy and turns into this hardcore heroine just because her daughter is kidnapped? Right...

School Rumble 2nd Semester isn't turning out as great as the first season was, so I'd have to say my favorite for this Spring season of anime has to be Haruhi. I'll admit that I was turned off from the first three episodes, but after I watched the one where they played baseball, I was sucked in.

Black Lagoon is awesome. The storyline kind of sucks and is too obvious in some parts...but Levi's so cool. Haha...

Black Lagoon only had one decent episode IMO, and that was episode two when they took on the helicopter with their ship. Other than it, the series has a Gun X Sword sort of appeal, where some episodes are so incredibly boring unless there is some kind of crazy enemy they take on. The interaction between Rock and Levy is all right, but other than that, the show isn't all that interesting. I really don't understand the hype Black Lagoon is getting, but I suppose it's to blame on the behalf of a slow season.

Now the Fall season, that's going to be crazy. Busou Renkin and Death Note.

Agreed somewhat. Air Gear doesn't have much that I'm sold on. Witchblade is okay and tolerable if you're willing to bear with it. Gintama isn't amusing me. School Rumble second term isn't as good as I think it could be. Black Lagoon is okay I agree that it's not that great. Seen The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Higurashi no Koro ni, and a couple episodes of Himawari. Haven't seen some of those other ones mentioned.

I guess I'll say that Utawarerumono is another one that is a standout of the new animes in spring 2006.

at one time? i'd say so lol. that's the reason i haven't even started a lot of the new anime, cuz i'm trying to finish my old ones. i don't like watching that many shows at once either. for some reason i don't quit shows that often, but perhaps i should try doing it more often. i guess i'm hopeful a show will do a 180 and become good but it usually doesn't happen.
