I'm currently contemplating whether or not I want to attend pharmacy school for the next four years or finish up and get my Bachelor's and do the physician assistant grad program(2 years).
Is anyone currently in or plan on being a physician assitant? I'm not sure whether or not I'm going to be able to handle the academic rigors of med school, so this is my second choice asides from pharm school. I'm pretty sure I want to go into healthcare though.
The average income of a PA-C is around $70-80K, which isn't so bad. I haven't given it too much thought, but I'm really dreading the prospect of being a pharmacist, so I need input from those who are in a PA program.
THanks.

If you're not going to be able to handle the rigors of medical school, i would suggest you shy away from PA school. Most PA schools require similar classes for PAs and MDs, with the difference really coming in the Rounds and Clinics which MDs are required to partake in. As a Med Student, I'd suggest you take a closer look at what you'd be getting yourself into as a PA student.

if u are dreading about being a pharmacist, give up on it. u will only make your life miserable being one if u are dreading already. i changed my thoughts on being a pharmacist because i realized that, i really dont like memorizing all the drug names and such, its not fun nor interesting imo.

What are you looking for in a career? What exactly about pharmacy are you unhappy with? Hmm the stuff you will be learning in PA school will be very similar to what the med students are learning, just not as detail or as fast, but it is still a lot of work. Oh by the way, some schools give a combo pharmD/pa program.
What makes you think you will be happier as a PA?
