Hi. I heard that Med schools or other graduate schools do not look where you went to college for undergraduates, as long as you did well. Is this true for med schoos? Hypothetically, if I went to a not so good college, but got a high GPA and a high MCAT score, I could get nto about any medical school I want, even Harvard?

it's true that if you have excellent grades and a high MCAT score that you would probably get into a good medical school.

however, it is also true that there will be other students who went to prestigious schools and got the same grades and MCAT scores as you, so they would probably be picked over you.

I think it's based more on the quality of your education; so in a way, maybe. Medical schools (and graduate schools) tend to pick students that came straight from their own undergraduate universities.

Also, a high GPA and MCAT score doesn't mean you're guaranteed any spot anywhere. You need to be able to satisfy your interviewers and such and such. It's a long hauling process.
Still young, but I feel incredibly old. Silly me.
