When do you start studying for your AP exams and what are your study habits for it? I probably start studying this week since it's spring break for me since there is about a month left before I'm taking my first AP exam!

Depending on how well my class is going, I try to start at least 1 to 1.5 months before the test. Of course, my habits have gone down the drain this year, and I haven't started studying for any of my tests, even though none of my classes is preparing me very well. Oh well, I don't think many of my colleges accept AP credit anyway. =P

I bought 2 AP Princeton Review books for AP Spanish Language and U.S. Government/Politics. for AP Calculus, I'm planning to just study with my class since math is one of my strongest subjects. and AP English? I'm only going to study literary terms.

last year i studied the day before the ap exam for bio HAHAH. only because i did pretty well in that class and i knew almost everything so i didnt worry, but i got a 2 =[.

this year, ill probably start reviewing once spring break starts (next week). i think ill assign a subject to a certain day. i have my ap study guide books so i'll just study off of that.

i could careless about college credit. i paid a lot for my exams, i might as well pass some.

oh my... i'm taking ap bio this year... haven't started studying yet...and i'm doing like this private study thing---i haven't learned as much as a regular class should.. that doesn't give me much confidence T_T time to take out the cliff notes, i guess?

anyways.. last year for AP world history, I think i read 2 different study guides, and took a bunch of practice tests (like 5??)... I got a 4.. considering my teacher didn't teach us anything, I was happy..
apes--my teacher was wonderful, i reviewed my notes very briefly, and i got a 5...

I'm planning to lock myself in a room for spring break while cramming the study material of five APs into my brain. I don't recommend you do that. I'm only doing it because I'm ridiculously busy with other stuff after the break.

But while I'm studying, I'm going to target the Princeton and Kaplan books. And check out collegeboard and their tests. They give out tests to the public after a year or so I think. So they have tests dating back to 98 for some of them.

hey that's what my teacher does. is that how all ap calculus classes work? we're just given old AP tests everyday, and we just do them. i'm so far behind because i stopped doing them for a while. i know i'm going to do so bad on my AP test since i've hardly taken any time to do anything in that class.

anyways, does anyone know which AP prep books are good? which one is the best? is there even a best or are they all just filled with old tests.

Lol man.

I don't study for the AP exams until the very last minute. If all I'm endowed with is a good short term memory, I might as well use it.

CRAMMING.
For bio and chem i crammed the night before into the morning of.
For history usually a week to read the material over and have it fresh in my head.
For english and laguage stuff...just took it since there's no way to really study for them.
For me honestly studying well ahead of the test won't work because I'd forget stuff- on the other hand cramming under time limit gets me the best results on tests.
Studying for it like your class exams- do you perform better studying ahead of time or studying the period before the test?

My friend took AP Stat last year and she studied bit by bit throughout her spring break. And the night before the test, she stayed up ALL night and didn't sleep for a SINGLE second. She scored a 5. I wouldn't recommend it though.. mellow.gif.

I'm going to study over the spring break by looking at my old notes and maybe reading some of the review pages in review books (not sure which ones to use yet) and then do a lot of practice problems...

master the concepts of whatever subject throughout the year. study the review books throughout the year too (go over what you're learning at school with whats in the review books..solve the problems, take the practice tests, reteach yourself, etc.)

euro was my first so i wasn't familiar with the idea of "aps" so i messed up big time. aced the class but barely passed the exam. 2 months was not enough for me to soak up a yearssss worth of history
