http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=12774Background info about me:
I'm 16, stuck in a small white town, so I want to go far away and go to a preferably large city. I'm currently interested in biological sciences/pre-med. I am a "Roman Catholic" but am sick of learning about the religion, so now I'm an agnostic. I don't want to go to an all women's college.
My list:
Minnesota SchoolsUniversity of Minnesota - Twin Cities
-Nice campus, good for sciences, good medical school
-Compact campus (this was my first, so i didn't visit east coast yet)
-Large student population
-There were a lot of clubs, but I guess all schools have that
-This is a safety for me, so I kinda liked it.
-It doesn't cost that much, even if your out of state
-Research school, they really encourage you to do at least one project
College of Saint Benedict's
-An all women's college
-You see nuns everywhere
-I view it as a "it's close to home" school, so it's perfect for all the girls at my school...they have no asperations in life.
-Joint with St. John's University (a men's college)
-Really secluded and the staff is extremely protective and naive. They think there is no need to go into "town" (aka St. Cloud).
-Conservative school
-Good for music degrees and the arts.
University of Saint Thomas (I'm going for a junior visit day in about a week)
-Okay campus
-The science facilities are somewhat lacking
