^Actually, it originated in Korea. Korea's 자장면 is the bombdiggity. It's really 자장면, but everyone pronounces it 짜짱면. biggrin.gif But too much MSG. sleep.gif

I really wanna try it, but I never had it b4....

Could someone tell me how it tastes like?
Like is it very salty?
Is it very rich? (rich as in you know how you eat Italian food, with all the cheese and sauce, it can get a bit rich sometimes)

I know how the Chinese version of ja jang myun tastes like.....its not similar right?

I've never tried the Korean kind before. The only Korean food I've had was kimchi and a little bit of bibimbap on Korean Air X.X I've eaten Zha Jiang Mian(Chinese) though, it's alright. The flavour is strong and kinda salty.

I know the basic ingredient of this dish so I hope you can kinda guess what it taste like.

In a wok, they fry pork belli and put lots of sliced onions and some cabbage.
Season it
then they put soy paste (the black soy paste? or black bean paste?)

That is put on Chinese noodles... there you have basic jjajjangmyun. I am sure they add some ohter stuff but that's what the basic sauce taste like. =)
