Kazaa, Bearshare, Morpheus, etc. Which ones??

Which filesharing programs do you guys think are the safest/best?

I had Bearshare for a while before my computer was reformatted, but it had way too many popups.

Any recommendations?

i use Limewire.

I have used Kazaa and Morphus before but files were always corrupted and searches came out weird. Changed to Limewire and never had a single problem

depending on how you set it up...

DC++ is by far my favorite...

but you have to have a good HUB to connect too... so you need to ask around for good ones... most of the time kids on college campuses use an on-campus hub that only people at that school can use... the bigger the school the better the selection...

my school is moderately sized at about 10k people, so I can find most of the major things, such as popular music (both old and new) and TV shows and what not... but it's not the best place to find rare things or brand new things... or foreign things...

for instance, for korean/asian music i mostly just use forums and occasionally limewire...
for the latest episode of tv shows i use bittorrent
for asian movies i use clubbox or bittorrent or emule

and for anything else i resort to emule.

Bearshare have a lot of pop ups because it gives you adware. you can get bearshare Pro to kill the ads. or try limewire or frostwire

DC++ is awsome if you can connect to the college campuses... I used to mooch off of the UCDavis servers.. and the Irvine one..

I like SoulSeek though.. I love it.

I used to use Bearshare, and my computer got busted

so I changed to Limewire (the only good thing about the whole situation is that I got a new computer.)

Kazaa gave me viruses so I switched to Limewire and it hasn't given me any trouble yet.

i've always been meaning to try limewire since everyone uses it but emule still does the job for me - i can still find ancient and rare stuff if i'm connected to one of the better servers.

I think Limewire's the best. As for the safest, I'd just recommend you always (always!) have some kind of Anti-Virus program because they're all pretty much the same in terms of safety.
