The Cure any fans amongst soompiers?

I got hooked on them ever since an uncle of mine handed me a mix-tape of some of their songs a few years back. I've also recently gotten hold of an acoustic cd of their more note-worth hits and it's been on my playlist for about 3 weeks now.

Anyways, my favourite albums from them would be Wish and Boys Don't Cry. As for individual songs, my favourites would be "A Letter To Elise", "Just Like Heaven", "Boys Don't Cry", "Fire In Cairo", "A Forest", "To Wish Impossible Things" and last but definitely not least, "Friday I'm In Love"

So, any other fans of them lurking about?

i know them, but only heard one song 'Why can't i be you' and its pretty good. they're 80s aren't they?
i'll try some of the songs you've mentioned!

Try to listen to the acoustic version of "Why can't I be you", really mellowy goodness

The Cure are generally known to be an 80s band but from a chronological viewpoint, their music spans from the late 70's right up until now.

Also, the songs I've mentioned are their more famous hits. I'd recommend them to anybody interested in listening to their sound.

robert smith is the best!!!

"close to me", 'friday im in love', boys dont cry, & just like heaven are a few of my faves...

I'm a cure fan ^. Lol, Robert Smith is really hot....I used to think he looked like HYDE at times though. My favorite song is "Just Like Heaven".

I've heard a few songs but they're really good.

I love "The Lovecats", it's really fun to sing along to.

I'd say that I'm a fan of The Cure. I have to admit that I don't have many of their albums but I've heard most of their older music. I first heard of them when I was about 11 or 12 years old but I didn't really start getting into them for a few years after that.

I must admit, Robert Smith is a genius.

The Cure before the mascara and hair. Robert Smith looks more like a Harvard Graduate than a Goth God.
He was 21 during this show when The Cure played Boston's Underground Club in 1980
